    Interesting,

Look at a 50 year chart on gold. It looks like a hockey stick. Buy the miners not gold.

If the gov't hadn't backed all the loans or banks could sell the mortgage transferring risk - if people weren't greedy and trying to flip houses; the list is long. Those who paid their mortgage on time were the ones hurt along with the tax payers

Who believes we should have bailed out the banks. Let them fail and rip the bandaid off instead of the slow pull and constant picking of the scab.

Instead of jail time, they are raising pay for juniors. And the beat goes on. I have long stopped doing business with Bank of America. Those who do in any form should watch their wallets - closely.

    Ford,

You forgot about the tax on cows and their gases into the air. Maybe EPA started with cows and was going to humans next. Better not eat the beans.

A 6'4" 300 lb man is charging the police officer with his gun drawn. Why would he not surrender to the cop? Drugs? Had a weapon in his hand? Disregard for authority.

Why would a cop have to shoot six times? It ain't the movies where one shot you are down. Only works when you hit a vital organ like the brain or heart. If you get shot why do you continue attacking.

    James,

A black kid is shot by a white cop. You are really upset about it. You see riot police in huge numbers telling you to disperse. What do you do? Charge them, follow instructions or go home?

    Buck

I hope you are right but it is speculation. If he is guilty of a crime we should prosecute to full extent of the law. Why no TASER? Going one on one is never a good idea. Where's the back up? Having said all that I'll bet more police departments get cameras rolling during confrontations.

    Buckoux,

The War on Poverty has only been around since LBJ and the mid 60's. Give it some time. The 100 years war last 116 years. The war will end when we stop using the terms black Americans, African Americans, Greek Americans, Italian Americans, French Americans, Hispanic Americans etc etc etc. We are all Americans and no one should expect equal outcomes because of some Federal Mandate. It creates mediocrity and forgoes excellence. It has gone to giving everyone a participation trophy with no winners or losers.

    Husker,

Brown was a 18 year kid - yes he was 6'4" nearly 300 lbs but still a kid. Well he could vote! Did he graduate from HS. Should we have shown him stealing and pushing the owner out of the way? Blatant disregard for authority. It is terrible he was killed. But it started 18 years ago, not last week.
