      truth is this company has enormous growth possibilities in Europe alone. They've done a masterly job on the flagship in London.
      it may not be the time to buy the stock, but have no doubt--these guys are going to win the game (and I'm NOT on their payroll!)

      Ben Stein Watch: In Need of Rescue
      Stein's articles in Times are a masterpiece in financial writing. Unlike you, he is able to cut through all the financial media blather and tell it like it is, the way it is. He has guts and intelligence and class. Yesterday's piece on subprime is the most clear and true and honest writing on the subject I've seen anywhere. Keed it up, Ben.

      Comparison to Berkshire Hathaway Shows Sears Has Hope
      can you extend the comparison a bit further. when buffet bought Berkshire, did he turn his full attentions to it--i.e., fold in his other investment activities? What about Lampert? Is he running SHLD and a hedge fund, and if so where, dollarwise, is he most committed?
