WuXi Partners with Covance on Contract Research Services in China
I would not be surprised to see Covance buy WX sometime in the future, especially at this PPS.

Sinoenergy: Downstream CNG Player with Upside Potential
I agree with all the assessments made here, SNEN is an emerging leader and it is great little company with many ways to benefit from the PRC initiatives that are now mandates.

I own CHNG & SNEN as well as GU. These are strong emerging alternative energy plays, they have significant barriers of entry for new players. The economics with the fuel increases of 17% today make these even a more compelling buy, especially at these levels.

These Three Deep Sea Drillers Look Like a Bargain
I could not agree with you more on your assessment of these stocks. I currently have long positions in NE, RIG nothing in DO. I entered into these positions based on future growth and valuation. I consider them both best of breed and I think they have significant assets anbd relationships that will continue to propel much higher over the next 12-18 months.
I also have a large psoition in NOV which I have cultivated over time, I would submit they would be a good addition to any services portfolio, they are a key player in all the rig players supply chain.

China Biotech Week in Review: News on All Fronts
I would rate it a buy here. WYETH just gave up a key piece of information in that it can take 9 months to get a permit in China to create an R&D facility within the PRC. That as opposed to 30 days for permits in US & Europe. Given the economic gains (essentially cost savings) and workforce available not to mention the access to Chinese proprietary remedies it seems to me there is tremendous room for continued growth.

WX is building more and new facilties Wyeth will increase CRO outsourcing from 25% to 30%, Pfizer and others which need to develop a fatter pipeline of products need the same economy of scale for R&D.

Despite lofty valuations, I am confident this is a long term hold with great potential. I have a healthy position about to get larger at these prices. I recently bought trading shares and cashed them in on the last dip. The break below 19 gives us another opportunity.

      The Bear Market Strikes Back
Even though this is a nasty correction and the blood is running in the streets, we still have not seen signs of capitulation, panic _yes_ capitulation obviously not. Problem is with these kind of swings, huge point losses and up days we may not recognize it is we see it.
I can't help but wonder what that point of capitulation would look like_ a major one day 1,000 point crash_could that be the sign. From these levels that would shake Confidence and damage us for quite a while.

I too have positions noted above and frankly the NOV story really has me puzzled.

National Oilwell Varco Will Thrive Where Crude is Hard to Find
Mark - Great reporting. I snapped up more today at 73 and change. You have the story correct, growth and demand will come from overseas even as domestic will cool.

The fact is we also have a serious international security issue with Mid East tensions as well. But I digress, your figures are on point and this is a cheap growth stock with backlog at 2 years ($8B) on the books as we speak.

I like being there when the thundering herd comes at us, glad to be in a position and building it ahead of that curve.

Best to you and great work,
