More, not very meaningful chatter and a good picture on the AltoonaWorks facebook page concerning the NS999

Will ePower have models showing off its truck? Dressed in green, perhaps?? :-)

An amusing, slightly off-topic demonstration of how chemistry trumps physics in the practical application of power:

The 32 megajoules that has been demonstrated with a rail gun is still only a fifth of what is needed for a death ray to vaporize a human.

Here is my favorite imagined use for Axion's PbC--as a replacement for or addition to Dean Kamen's North Dumpling island off-grid power system. He uses flooded LA batteries from Rolls that are described as deeply dischargeable, but have to be monitored and topped off regularly. I don't know if there's any issue with DCA that would merit combination with PbC's as a buffer for charging on sunny, windy days.

Kamen does say that lighting is the largest part of his energy consumption, so it jibes with TG's statement about "off-grid lighting tied to renewables."

So, that's my entirely speculative concatenation of wishful thinking, but it is Sunday night, after all.

Is it my imagination or is there more pumping of Axion on the micro cap trading/stock-picking sites?

I have a Google alert for AXPW and am seeing an increase in the number of alerts lately. I don't expect this to make a whit of difference to us in the long run, but it may increase volatility in the near-term.

    Well-said D.

I wonder how many of the people who read articles like this have already drunk the carbon-neutral Kool-aid. I'm not opposed to using "carbon" issues to advantage for investment just like any other hype cycle, but it's important that someone always remarks on the dubious assumptions behind the use of carbon dioxide lifecycle calculations.

    Thanks!

It was intriguing that this morning's press release spoke of "off grid lighting tied to renewables" as one of the opportunities that may be associated with near-term sales.

I didn't recall seeing that term used before and a Google search doesn't hit on anything related to Axion other than the press release itself. Off-grid lighting tied to renewables seems to be big in the developing world (Africa and India come up most prominently) but not in the US, I suppose unsurprisingly.

I wonder if this is one of the island nation applications that has been rumored?

Well, that was interesting (paraphrasing)--"Oh, BTW I've never predicted timing of sales before but we'll have significant sales to report on the next CC...Bye."

    I think I'm encouraged.

Again, thank you, I understood your statement and response. But my question was how you arrived at the proper number of shares. Is it preferred, for example, to have $10 million capital from issuing 10M $1 shares or 2M $5 shares, the higher share price making it easier to IPO on NASDAQ or AMEX? In other words are you planning now for the eventual IPO price, far away as that may be?

The thread has wound down and this is completely off topic and for my personal interest. Please ignore if there's no short answer.

    Thanks, John.

The large number of shares you plan to offer led me to assume it would be a public offering. I'm curious how one arrives at the proper number. I know this is OT and appreciate your openness about the process.

    John,

I must have missed your previous discussion of a share offering. Are you talking about a public offering? If so, any timeline in mind?

I'm sure you've considered it, but all you have to do is give them trade-in value for the old rig that needs to be rebuilt. That way ePower gets experience with rebuilding different models which they later resell, and is getting revenue and buzz from its strong-performing, sweet-smelling gliders cum eTractors.

Maybe just as importantly, with a new, consistent line of rigs they could brand them:

"Condor" by ePower--glides effortlessly for hours

"Torque" by ePower--Zero to 60 in "I did NOT just see that"

Silly names, but you get the idea.
