All great points Tyler but SIRI is a dead stock until it can show any sign of profitability. Any investor following your articles about SIRI/XMSR for the last 2-3 years would have lost everything!

How much more pain one can take in this one?

YES! This is the bottom. Buy everything that was beaten so much in the last year or so. You'll make 50% guarantee within 2 years...

The markets are not gloomy here. They're just being realistic about how bad things really are. Maybe all of the "optimists" who have been calling bottoms in the last 12 months will finally wake up.

The biggest bubble in U.S. history just burst. History in the making...

The DUG entry was at $26-$28. I wouldn't buy it here becuase it's getting too risky. It tracks an index not a stock. The rally is commodities only taking a pause, it didn't end by no mean. Jul 19 05:18 PM
    • Overbought Oil Doesn't Mean Excessive Commodity Speculation [view article]
Of course oil is a speculation! It is very naïve to think that it’s not. Besides, technical analysis do not work when things irrational and probably a bubble.
This bubble has more room to grow but fundamentals do not justify this increase in price. Sorry!

      To ship shape

You really need to chill a bit with those doom’s day scenarios. There is enough oil in the world for the next 20-30 years; it’s just got a bit more expensive to get it out.
There are news fields in Brazil, North Sea; they even just found probably the biggest oil reserve in North Dakota (over 100 billions). In few years solar and wind power will take some of the oil’s usage and everything will be back to normal.
Read the recent senate testimony by a top hedge fund trader. It’s not about supply and demand any more. It’s way beyond it. Big money is being involved. Wake up…

    • Intrepid Potash IPO: Soaring Shares Signal Fertilizer Bubble? [view article]
As the dollar got stronger today all comodities went down. The AG's sector will go down with it.
POT isn't deserving a PE of 50, no MON or MOS.
Yes, the earnings are stong, very storng, but what we've got here is an anamoly.
I remember telling a trader to short the Dry Bulk sector back in Nov. 07 and I got the same respond I see here. DRYS is growing like crazy but it didn't justify yet a price of $140 and that's why the air came out with a vengance in the following months.

The same will happen here. No stock ever went up vertically like that with no healthy correction. POT is a very good stock JUST got a little bit ahead of itself and it will correct anytime soon. And so is the whole sector - MON, MOS, BG, CF, AGU etc.

It maybe started already, put your stop losses is all I can add...

She's the kind of investor that tries to show you that nothing goes up forever. Fertelizers stocks are in a bubble that sooner than later will explode and take kids like you down the drain with it.

So far GA is being ignored by the street and the chart reflects it.
The buyback that was announced by the company on Friday needs more time to see of its effectivness. It looks to me more like a desperate move.
The author is obviosly biased in hyping GA, but why to catch a falling knife? If GA goes at least back to its IPO price of $16, it might be worth a look, otherwise chill IMO.

How's the long going Mr. Laljee?
Don't forget, BAC sank 2 billion in CFC which might see bankrupcy in 2008. The stock is at 2 years low. I say $35 is the next level.

Good Luck Sir and God Speed!
Going long once in this sector is crazy. Keep adding to a losing position is sheer stupidity. Losing everything in 3 months...priceless!
You’re trying to call a bottom (or even a short term one) on a bank that is a big player in the bursting of the biggest bubble in American history. The bigger the bubble, the lower the stocks will go to and it will always be lower than people think. Much lower!
It’s an historical fact and the bursting of this bubble will not be any different.
True, Bank of America can bounce here, but it can also go to $35 even $30 who knows?
And to say that “the carnage ends here” is absolutely irresponsible! Based on what exactly? Banks have been discovering new billions of dollars loses on a daily basis recently, it’s not going to end so easy. If 2008 will be a recession year as most of American believes, we might see a big bank or two vanishes very quickly. Who knows?
The carnage will end when it wants to end – No one can call a bottom here. Period!
