Geothermal: The Other Base Load Power [View article]
I've never found any investigation of existing geothermal sources in my home state of Texas. I heard, off-hand-thus not sure of the detail, that UGTH was exploring this option, but I've not found any information to double check. Anyone know????
I bring this up, because Texas is littered with existing deep dry wells that have down hole temperatures of 700-900F at 2k-5k feet. It just seems that steam generation or sterling technology would be reasonable.
