  • Axion Power Concentrator 391: Mar. 01, 2015 [View instapost]
What a show of futility. One would think that something happened ... until one looks at the price action.

    >Retired Aviator ... He has plainly stated ePower's lack of interest several times. Most clearly remembered reasons I have are ePower lacks the funds & ePower is too small to worry about anything beyond the work they have in front of them. John has also never expressed a great concern about not being able to acquire PbC's in the future with or without Axion but has said that the company is not the stock and the company is doing OK.

    >Mr Investor ... You can actually conjure up something worse than what is and has been happening?

    >nogoodslacker ... I think it is fair to say that ePower has been successful in demonstrating a proof-of-concept prototype. So it didn't go as advertised ... meh! Where they stand today is a tough market and getting tougher and I certainly don't know what's going on but I do know that ePower isn't selling and that is all that matters from an Axion point-of-view. My dearest hope for Axion is that they are not burning uncompensated money in support efforts.

    >todi18 ... And, yet, there are few to none of those 5% beneficial owners. Are there really that many retail holders and traders? No major stake holders?

    >Retired Aviator ... If Axion had attracted "sticky" investors ... you know, ones with money above & beyond retailer suchas ourselves ... then the chart from hell would never come to be. Back in the late 00's there were 3 investors that stand out as being tarheels with enough cash to go many financing rounds. The chart then wasn't art but it was what could have been expected for developmental R&D. Then a few original "sticky" investors left seemingly all at the same time and for reasons not really associated with Axion. None were ever found to replaced them. A failing on management & the BoD.

Mental exercise & stupid question. If all those shares, being dumped as fast as they created, are being bought by an actual "someone" (and not the poor schmuck MM who has to), is there any likely chance that a greater than 5% owner/shareholder will emerge?

    >iindelco ... And therein lays my dislike of having the CEO & Board Chairman being the same person. In the beginning of corporations, such a thing wasn't allowed ... now, it is the norm or, at least, a well used standard.

    >Ranma ... Could be good. American & EU investors certainly don't see anything of value there. So, maybe the Chinese see a useful and marketable purpose for the PbC. Then the rest of the world can do what we haven't been able to do ... buy it.

    >iindelco ... It is possible, right now, to travel the entire route shown on standard gauge track. That gauge problem along mainlines kinda got sorted out after the War, but still exists in spots not considered mainline. India & Pakistan spring to mind. I'm sure it most likely is not the most efficient route ... but, doable. FYI, the return trip was 84 cartons of olive oil.

It certainly would make for one hella'va economic stimulus program to build a high-speed rail along this route. Maybe a Tesla Hyperloop. To me, it would make more sense than building a new canal across Nicaragua

Here's something I found interesting and has absolutely nothing to do with Axion. Well, maybe it could. China opens new trade route with Spain by rail.

I rather like the looks of the Chinese locomotive.

    >greentongue ... I'd bet that ePower can find or knows of another battery that will make their device function but it would be, no doubt, an inconvenience and a delay. The other thing to consider is that Axion's PbC will probably not go quietly into the dark. Someone will manufacture it if someone else has a need of it

  • Big investors cut stakes in Petrobras as corruption scandal weighs [View news story]
Not when the company can't or won't quantify the damage done and/or replaces one well connected and corrupt manager with another well connected one.
