In Debt We Trust: Public Spending as a Tool of Economic Recovery [View article]
I think existing and future problems are going to be impossible to solve in any reasonable period of time. Looking for Stagflation and its starting already....more on the streets....more forclosures...more job losses...higher taxes...less government services...broken pension systems....falling dollar....and loss of superpower status...MarvinMBA
The Fed Backed Itself into a Corner [View article]
After reading the many commentaries, the consensus view is were in deep sxxt for sure. No body really knows where we are going including the Fed and Treasury and Obama and the politicians that are playing with him have no idea either. Actually we are now in encountered waters. This is one time I would say nobody has any clever solutions or answers. If I knew any you too would know...MarvinMBA
David Rosenberg: The Recession May Have Ended, But the Depression Has Not [View article]
Things look tough out there for sure. I suppose we can not say for sure if the glass is half full or half empty. With the high unemployment and the continuing meltdown in the housing market I would say all bets are off. Soon Uncle Sam will be the employer of last resort and we are certainly becoming more socialistically inclined then we ever were. Just look at the institutions that depend on Uncle for survival today and tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow...good buy to our way of life for sure...MarvinMBA
Stock Market Optimists Revisited: This Is Not Your Father's Stock Market [View article]
I made my basic retirement by investing. The large increase in money supply will eventally pump up the markets again as well as the economy going forward...its going to be inflation that is real plus inflation expectations that are going to make the investing public buy equities. In spite of the recent downdrafts, some of the tech stocks like INTC seem to me very inviting for the long run inflation protection the public will seek. Besides INTC makes products that are going to be the core of future tech growth...MarvinMBA PS I'm concerned about gold continuing to climb and with increased interest rates on the horizon keep away from the precious metals.
Equities Update: With Economic Jitters and Valuation Concerns, Everybody Down [View article]
Amazing day....there must be some major disconnects when Intel themselves and many others give high grades for the computer chip section. In my opinion something is not kosher with the analysts that downgrade INTC when the company itself gives a major positive outlook. In any event, take advantage of these disconnects and buy this great company at what I believe great pricing...MarvinMBA PS Do your own research and you will come to the same conclusions as I have...Marvin

Time for the U.S. Economy to Reindustrialize [View article]
Years ago around 1955 companies like Allied Radio and Knight Electronics disappeared and I lost my design engineering job designing electronic kits. The writing was on the wall then as Japan was into its growth phase knocking out the electronic after market in Chicago which manufactured radios, tv's and high fi's. There is nothing left of the great manufacturers like Admiral Corporation and a host of others. I designed a TV for Mr. Muntz when he took over Sonora Electronics in Chicago and that went defunct also. Even working designing gaming equipment eventually pertered out in Chicago as Bally Manufacturing left town. Its too late to turn back the clock...first it was Japan and now China and many other Pacific Countries with Mexico now being the low cost supplier. Of course I had to work in the aerospace industry to survive. The history of failure in manufacturing...even high tech manufacturing is a failure in the USA. We have run out of gas and ideas that would bring us back into manufacturing at this late stage...its going to be impossible to compete because of our high cost intrastructure. We need a new model and I have yet to see one that is potentially functional...MarvinMBA
Gold Transforming into a Completely Demonetized Wealth Asset [View article]
Over the long run, I'll invest in the likes of GE and INTC...Both of these companies will create value that will exceed the precious metal. But some small gold holdings cannot hurt but in the long run the Biblical comment " Do not place your faith in Gold" in my opinion applies today as it always did in the past. Remember productive KNOWLEDGE based assets are WHERE THE LONG TERM ACTION IS AND THAT MEANS EQUITIES. MarvinMBA

We have a long way to go to get solvent and the job situation solved. These are the overwhelming problems of our time. There are no easy answers except for another bubble. What should that bubble be..Another stock market rise including gold and silver but that would leave out those that are not invested.
