S&P 500: Out with Technology, In with Financial
Well, certainly the financials have had their day in the sink hole...perhaps this is telling us that the worst might be over and there is some light at the end of the tunnel. I suppose a company like GE with both intrastructure technolgy and finance could be the most likely candidate for a recovery.......MarvinM...

Market Fundamentals Don't Yet Signal Time to Reenter
I suppose companies like GE that are paying hefty dividends are off limits for those that are playing a conservative game. Even if GE cuts the dividend significantly, todays price still deserves support in my opinion.

Why do I like GE? Its involved in clean energy nuclear, wind, gas turbine, transmission lines, energy, low cost transportation and a hundred other areas that support introsturcture improvement which the new administration will have to address to improve our lives and provide new jobs. The One-Word Topic of the Day, and Week: Obama
Obama will make the nessasary changes to get this country going again...the economic news is obscene and unamerican and unworthy of a great nation. Building the intrastructure which has fallen into decay could be a priority and provide jobs for engineers and construction workers. Building a new green source of energy and a new source of green transportation will provide jobs for everyone.

If the FDA would let loose with new management, drug products that have been canned because of political reasons can get a chance to get on the market along with new stem cell therapies and drugs given half a chance by a rational administration. MarvinMBA

Credit Impairments Justify Investor Trading Only from the Short Side
Shorting GE? You have to be kidding. This company has the most to gain with a reconstruction of the US energy industry...from Nuclear Power to Wind Power to conventional gas and oil energy, GE is there. Lets get to transportation of electric power and diesel electric...plus plus plus.
GE is selling at a multi-year low and I have been buying at lower than todays price.....MarvinMBA

Loss of Faith in Buy and Hold
Do you think the economy will survive without going into a Depression?
I suppose with all the bad news that seems to come out of the woodwork on a daily basis the end is here. Do you think you will ever get a job again after the unemployment numbers come out tomorrow. The conclusion might be never. With the above conclusions how will you eat???? Food Stamps? What about food and clothing and a place to live?? What else can happen to your life??? After having said all of the above if you have any spare cash buy GE which will be a major beneficiary of any downdraft...rememeber we have to rebuild our intrastructure and become energy independent so there will be jobs aplenty when the New Administration under Obama gets things going.

Worst Two-Day Decline Since the '87 Crash
Actually, I believe that certain segments of the market are oversold..for example: GE certainly has its fingers on lots of worldwide projects and potential for many more in the Mass Transportation,, Energy and Financial Industries...do not sell companies like GE and MSFT short in my opinion..MarvinMBA

Thursday Market Roundup: Concern About Economic Growth Slowdown
I've switched my view from Recession to Depression for a 5 to 10 year period until the country develops a new model for suvival and it will probably be social/communistic in nature. Bush and the Republican Administration already gave us a headstart with essentially nationalizing the Banking/Brokerage/Real Estate industry and we will do the same for our Insurance and Automobile Industry....MarvinMBA

Were in deep sXXt let no one say otherwise. This is going into a full blow
Depression is my best take on outcomes. It might last for 5 or 10 years to unwind and start a new economic model...probably social oriented as government takes a greater role in our daily lives. Remember it started with a (Nationalization of Banking/Brokerage/Real Estate) big bang by this Republican Administration...Marvi...

Don't Follow the Wall Street Crowd - Prepare for Market Rollover
When money starts moving from M3 into M1 on Main Street, then the turnaround might be at hand...so far I'm looking forward to inflation and hope that my house will restore itself to replacement value even at todays
low RE land and construction costs. The stock market today has lost tremendous support and after playing ping pong day trading, I decided that I'm on indefinite hold until fundamentals improve...perhaps 2 years from now!!!! MarvinMBA

      Today's Market Action
The market is really detached from any political figure as the investors
look at numbers and the economy and there is plenty to worry about so it tanked...probably will tomorrow too...I've actually stopped day trading on election day having had a great streak of success with the volatility but todays market scared the hell out of me and I'm holding onto cash and in the sidelines for now...PS..for the first time in a long time I'm saying the market really is the sXXXs...MarvinMBA

The Free Lunch Approach to Finance
Probably the biggest supporter of the economy are those that buy on credit and can ill afford what they buy and it now caught up; the rest of us will help with the bail out. After the Bush Administration nationalized the Banks, Brokerage Houses, Insurance and Housing industry why worry...we just have to get them to start buying again so we can all prosper including our overseas suppliers.
