  • Time for the U.S. Economy to Reindustrialize [View article]
Years ago around 1955 companies like Allied Radio and Knight Electronics disappeared and I lost my design engineering job designing electronic kits. The writing was on the wall then as Japan was into its growth phase knocking out the electronic after market in Chicago which manufactured radios, tv's and high fi's. There is nothing left of the great manufacturers like Admiral Corporation and a host of others. I designed a TV for Mr. Muntz when he took over Sonora Electronics in Chicago and that went defunct also. Even working designing gaming equipment eventually pertered out in Chicago as Bally Manufacturing left town.
Its too late to turn back the clock...first it was Japan and now China and many other Pacific Countries with Mexico now being the low cost supplier. Of course I had to work in the aerospace industry to survive. The history of failure in manufacturing...even high tech manufacturing is a failure in the USA. We have run out of gas and ideas that would bring us back into manufacturing at this late stage...its going to be impossible to compete because of our high cost intrastructure. We need a new model and I have yet to see one that is potentially functional...MarvinMBA

  • Ultimately, Who Benefits from Too-Big-To-Fail [View article]
The problem is not oversized banks with its various financial offerings....example B of A....lets call a spade a spade and our problems go right back to the USA Fed and Treasury which failed to rein in the Housing Boom before it became a bubble. If it did its job of raising interest rates and not allowing those that have zero income or next to zero income to qualify, most of the problems we are now facing would never have happened, big banks or small banks..it all would have adjusted to the tightening...perhaps we would have had a few problems that could have been easily handled but now the wolves are on the loose...MarvinMBA

  • Mervyn King: Break Up the Big Banks [View article]
Bank consolidation is the way to go....we have far too many branch banks that are really doing very little business and competing for the little business that there is...in addition they are not doing their job of lending to the public anyway so who needs them. With deposits at the one percent area they are helping no one but funding the government debt helping the USA with a major ponzi scheme.

  • Report from Europe: Fear Returns [View article]
Prospering in the USA financial economy is going to take 20 years before the average investor feels comfortable buying into this stock market. After this downdraft sentiment is close to zero and the money is going to remain in cash or silver or gold for the foreseeable future..MarvinMBA

  • Beware the Current Bull Market in Derivatives [View article]
Our currency has been tainted by all of the deficits, derivatives and money printing. I think gold and silver which really represents another currency and independent of manipulation out side of the futures market is the way to go. Hang in there if you own gold or silver while the commodity traders try to manipulate them..They are going to burn when they get a call for delivery...There's more money manipulating silver than there is silver so someday they will be called and PM prices will skyrocket....MarvinMBA

  • Wall Street Breakfast: Must-Know News [View article]
In this world things are never that clear...except for money printing which seems to be the one proud thing the Fed and Treasury are in agreement. ......without real production and job creation and real exports we are in deep trouble.....things are going to be getting worst and the health care discussion is just a diversion from the real issues facing this country, not that HC reform is nessasary but Obama has failed to provide a new paradyne to get this country going except for money printing. I think PM's are going to be the real money of the future or at least paper money backed by gold/silver...MarvinMBA PS The EXPOLOSION of the money supply cannot continue without dislocation like Super Inflation.

  • Four Reasons We're Headed Even Higher [View article]
I'm sure the market will have high beta but it does seem that we are pulling out slowly from this massive downdraft. To protect yourself emotionally keep a good hunk in corporate bonds going out 5 years paying a decent return above 5%. Holding on to a few double eagles will also give you staying power. As we enter the next bull (and it will come while the pundits are all negative opportunities will skyrocket. Be prepared to take advantage of them...MarvinMBA

With all of the money printing and forced interest rate downdrafts the end is in sight. Yesterdays Treasury offerings sold at higher rates is just the start of a super inflationary ere.
