The Wachovia CEO and Cramer should have a bed next to Bernie Madoff. That advice ruined a lot of people from my home state, North Carolina. Now, I view Cramer right along with Judge Judy. His takes are purely entertainment fodder.

Stick around long enough and you will see this scenario replay the exact same story; Just with a differsent cast of characters and players this time around.
I agree that one or a few companies should stretch hard and add a few cents to the next dividend and shake off the vampiric shorts and their puppet string pulling schemes. And why Wall Street still looks to DRYS as the bellweather shipping firm is totally beyond me. DRYS should be used as a model in MBA programs as to what NOT to do.

Since when is it bad to do business with family, if they are in the same type of business? As long as they are competitive, no harm, no foul. I do not own much of OCNF, but at this price, it's worth the risk.

Finally, someone comes out with my sentiments on DHT. If you do nothing but read stats and vanilla flavored reports, you are going to miss the boat because it's already overcrowded with folks reading the same reports as you. At times, you've got to go with that gut feeling. If $0.03 scares you off a pony that has always finished the races, well, you may be in the wrong line of endeavor. DHT is a proven winner, with excellent management.
CROSSTEX (XTXI) was a no-brainer on 03/02/2009 at $0.82/share. It is still a very attractive buy at $3.50/share. Reasoning: Natural Gas is going to be a major factor in Obama admin. and the new energy directives being legislated now.

Obviously, Blue Phoenix likes what he is hawking. Heck, that's human nature and he is in the business of sales. But let me put you wise; if you want to double your investment or better, you best saddle up on some Natural Gas ponies. Blue Bird is right about this, NG is going to decouple from unrefined oil and NG prices could easily double. Better yet, NG carriers, refiners, and storage companies should perform even better. (Disclaimer: nonidiomatic owns shares in NGLS and XTXI)
As Natural Gas Prices Decline, Natural Gas Stocks Rise [View article]
I believe we will see with EPA and Congressional mandates for a greener GNP, the use of LNG (liquid natural gas) double or triple in the next 2-3 years. So while there may be a glut today of LNG's, regular market conditions will correct the over supply in short order (6-9 months at the outside). That is simply the way of ALL commodities. If it were otherwise, there would not be International Exchange markets for the future trading of any such commodities. I am wholeheartedly backing Mr. Shaefer's opinion in his SEEKING ALPHA article. I am also loading up on NG stocks that are trading 90-95% lower than their 5 year averages. One of the best looking stocks on the NASDAQ is CROSSTEX (XTXI). Check it out if you are interested in a 10-20X return on an investment today.
Sure, there is a lot of debt, but FRO has the contracts in place, fuel costs are way down, and they have cut dividends to grow their cash on hand. The market bashing this stock is only making it more attractive to patient, long-term investors. At $20.00, I'm reloading and doubling my position.

For some reason, Seeking Alpha has been bashing the shipping stocks lately, even before Thursday's correction. If you can believe the financial statistics, the shippers are the one solid play in this topsy turvy market. Low debt and plenty of cash. What's the problem?
Trading Obama: Solar Stocks, GM Debt, Ambac Calls, Lorillard and Goldman Puts [View article]
GM will be allowed to file bankruptcy. If Obama elects to throw the kitchen sink at this, he will immediately doom himself to a 1 term wonder. It will be too late by Jan. 21, 2009, unless GM can fill the coffers of all the republican congress members to persuade them to endorse another multibillion dollar bailout package. Hmmm, maybe king oil will live again?
