What about people who have solar panels on their roof and generate all their own electricity? These are going to be the kind of people who first buy electric cars and PHEV like the Volt. You're making a big assumption that people who buy these vehicles will all get their power from the grid.

All this guy does anymore is bash companies like GM and Nissan, apparently two companies he's not invested in.

Who knows if the PHEV technology will eventually be a success or not, but you are clearly rooting for it to fail before it's even begun! I for one am rooting for GM and others to win on this one because they're actually doing something that's in the country's interests and trying to get us off of foreign oil.
