I don't think that graph accurately represents a bubble, because it doesn't represent money, it's just the number of ETFs and mutual funds devoted to renewable energy. And I'd say under 20 total is still a pretty small number. Some of these ETFs are pretty small (net assets in the funds less than $100M) and not very liquid. If you're trying to show that not all of these funds will survive, well yea, I agree with you there. But if you're trying to show that the renewable energy sector is somehow overvalued, I don't think that chart works at all. Show me something with the amount of $$ in these renewable energy funds or something, not just the number of funds.

I bought a little more GEX today for my IRA. If you're in these ETFs for the long run instead of just trying to trade them, now is a good of time as ever to get in.
I'm too risk adverse (scared) to buy any ETN like DJP. From what I understand, if the underlying bank or financial institution goes under, the entire ETN can go to $0, despite how well it should be performing. I'd rather own ETFs and things like GLD that hold actual physical assets rather than some kind of swap contracts or whatever makes up these ETNs. I'm waiting a few years for this whole credit crisis to settle itself out, then I may look at at ETN, but not now.
