  • Is Mexico on Its Way to Becoming an Oil Importer? [View article]
it is interesting that the oil fever of just a few months ago has been so thoroughly quenched so quickly. Six months ago, the fact was that we have a serious oil supply problem not far way but current prices were inflated by speculation (to the point of some market--cornering). The fact today is that we have a serious oil supply problem not far away but current prices are deflated by hedge fund bailouts and frozen credit. No matter how you cut it, the oil crisis is real, it's going to get worse, and there isn't a lot of time until it is a real crisis, with no solution in sight.
