  • ETF Spreads Widen Substantially from a Year Ago [View article]
I usually split the spread. If I'm selling and the ETF is rising I place my ask under the current ask a little and let it perk for a few minutes.

Then, I choose to either re-ask a little lower to close or leave my ask where it is and check in a few hours. I never sell at the bid. Visa Versa when I'm buying.

This is not rocket science, Mathew.

Why are you advising people to accept the current bid/ask spread as if it were the LAW? You should be sharing (w/ a little more depth) how you go about bidding and asking within the spread, No?

  • Time Not for a Bailout, But for Nationalization [View article]
    @Purl Gurl

You Wrote, "Oh my, Mr. Delong, you are a partisan leftist socialist, yes? "

    And I write,

"Oh my, Purl Gurl, you are a partisan idiot, yes?

Not good to call people names. (Irony intended.)

  • An Oil-Driven Paradigm Shift? [View article]
Can we place our trust in the current (oil) leadership of the USA? Cheney forged an oil policy in cahoots w/ his oil brethren. He wanted ANWR, but never offered support of green energy as a GRAND compromise. If he had, we might have has a stronger green commitment alongside his ANWR and coastal oil fields.

Ever wonder why he never pitched this? Could be he sold the US out in favor of big oil.

Sorry. I'm getting way too cynical about him and George.

  • Back to 1998: Lessons from the G7 Then and Now [View article]
Greenspan's reputation is getting unraveled very quickly and it is not looking good for his leadership.

Question: Will the media reform and begin to truthfully investigate and question what is going on?

We have a leadership group which will live in history as having harmed our country (in so many ways) more than any external foe ever:

    Bush, Cheney, Greenspan.

  • Comparing Clinton and Bush on Income Taxes [View article]
    Mr Perry, Ph.D.,

Pls extend your argument and show us the tax levels for $250k, $500k, $1M... Also, pls review the suggested/new tax policies regarding the estate tax and, finally, pls review the impact of the Alternative Minimum Tax on middle income taxes.

And finally, finally, pls follow up with your views on the

    - $2 Trillion off budget war costs,
    - the size and impact of current and projected US debt,
    - the debt/taxpayer burden which will be paid by our kids and grandkids,
    - the Fed's thoughtless extension of cheap credit policies leading to the bubble from hell which has thrown the US into its current recession,
    - comments on how Bush is not responsible for this God-awful mess

    Thanks,

    We're awaiting your response!
