  • An Open Letter To BlackBerry Management And Directors [View article]
Great questions! Thanks for bringing them up!! I have some of your questions in my mind too. But most of all, I am surprised that BlackBerry's BOD and CEO can get away with practices such as misleading shareholders, insider trading, conflicting interest, manipulating the books,... How can we, as shareholders, collectively bring this to the attention of the regulators? Anyone here working for SEC or in the profession of legal compliance? Please help!

  • Get Long. Get Short. BlackBerry's Value Ain't $8 [View article]
I agree with you that BBRY is worth more than NOK and MSFT should have bought BBRY instead. The difference is NOK's CEO is a former Microsoft guy who knew how to pull all the strings for a MSFT buyout while BBRY's CEO is from hell.

  • BlackBerry Q2 Results Are Not What They Seem To Be; We Deserve An Explanation [View article]
    @ Loon-a-tick
Absolutely, we longs have the right to know if the early announcement was made with the intention to drive the price down to favor a bid, probably from insiders. What is the use of an official ER date then? I was actually planning to sell when it comes closer to the coming ER (having learnt a lesson from last ER), but it's too late now. And I am sure there're others like me. Why would management time and again act in favor of the short sellers? There must be insiders making big money at the expense of us retails. What can we do now? Should we write to SEC or something?

  • BlackBerry Short Sellers, I Salute You [View article]
Yeah, there're always people who have access to information ahead of the public and are able to make great profit from it. Just look at that 1 million shares shorted right before market close on Thursday. But I doubt if SEC would really look into things like that because chances are they always happen and that SEC doesn't have enough resources to investigate. It's sad but that's reality. I am more disappointed by the Blackberry management though; by being so lip-tight about an upcoming report which they knew was way below expectation shows they have totally neglected their shareholders' benefits. Management could have done a much, much better job communicating with the analysts and the public. That's all under the bridge now. As a long, I have learned a valuable lesson. I will still hold on to my shares because 1) the company's cash flow continues to be very positive and there's no debt, 2) Q10 sales, which is way better than that of Z10's, hasn't been truly factored in in this report and there're more new products in line, 3) the current SP is already at, or very close to the bottom, 4) the shorts will have to take profit at some point. After all, it's just one quarter, we need to give it at least another 6 months.

  • Unwinding Crowded BlackBerry Short Trade Can Choke Short Sellers [View article]

The Pros who rarely lose money are the heavyweights like Watsa, MS, GS, ... not the clowns on the bear side who confuse people with false reports and imaginary estimates. Just cover if you are short before it's too late.

@MarCap, "The Pros who are shorting the stock are far too knowledgeable and experienced in utilizing the various options they have available to allow that to happen."

Who are these "Pros" you are talking about? Marverick Cap, Cleverland, Conaccord, ...? You think they are more experienced and knowledgeable than Watsa, Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley,..? LOL

  • BlackBerry: Major New Investors? [View article]
Excellent article! I am very sure that May 24th order was about 1M shares to begin with (I did a print screen). What's so odd about this was that the buy order comes and goes the whole afternoon setting the floor at 14.39 as if someone is defending a threshold. I mean it was obvious that the buyer would have bought at a lower price, given the grim outlook in that afternoon, which leads me to think that the buyer must have already had a huge stake at BBRY at that point and intended to stop the SP from falling.

I saw it too. It was a limit order to buy about 1M shares at 14.39. Wonder if there's a way to find out who the buyer was.

  • BlackBerry: Time To Throw In The Towel? [View article]
Got this from my newsfeed this morning:

"According to data from Digitimes, BlackBerry has been stepping up its parts and component orders with suppliers in Taiwan.
Sources said that sales of BlackBerry's QWERTY keyboard-equipped Q10 device has seen strong sales in the U.S. (pre-order?) and Europe. Market sentiment has also lifted with the device.
Suppliers think that BlackBerry is likely to release a entry-level to mid-range BlackBerry 10 model for emerging markets. Indeed, some of the component orders have been for small-size LCD panels.
Should BlackBerry be able to replicate success its seen in the Middle East and Indonesia, estimates have shipments of 30 million to 40 million BB10 handsets possible in FY13.
News Provided by Acquire Media Corporation "

30M to 40M possible this year!!!!! Guess the shorts can hang themselves with their white towels.
