  • Nokia tablet specs reportedly leak; Google blocks YouTube WP app  [View news story]
Nok is known for developing loads of apps, and pushing third party developers on wp8. They may be able to pull the same trick on winRT, and instantly become, the monopoly provider of this kind of machine. WinRT, and SurfaceRT are not actually bad products, just severely limited by app availability. Given the automatic safe environment that ARM and locked windows environment provides, this could be an amazing business machine provided that it becomes more enterprise friendly and gets more apps. Nok can provide both. This is an interesting gamble.

  • Microsoft Is Steadily Advancing Towards The Holy Grail Of Cloud Computing  [View article]
Thanks for your very interesting analysis. I couldn't agree more. It is also why I fear for Apple longer term. Google and Amazon could be strong competitors, though I agree that in all of this, MS has the strongest position.

  • BlackBerry Q10 Outselling Galaxy S4 At The Leading U.K. Retail Location  [View article]
Good article. Selfridges is a very unique place though, it was the launch place for BB, and BB has basically hired off the entire floor with BB support. BB is not, and not able to, to give similar support anywhere else. So it is a highly suspicious data point to extrapolate. Meanwhile, all larger surveys indicate a freefall of BB. Advertising by Samsung in London tube is absolutely everywhere. Apart from Virgin, which pushes both WP and BB, there is no carrier pushing anything else seriously but iPhone and Samsung. Even EE, which was the unique partner to Nokia has very few to no ads for Lumia, let alone BB. It would be nice to read more into the data you provided, but I remain to be convinced.
