  • Microsoft: Set To Make A U-Turn [View article]
Yawn, this is a horrible article. The phone that is being discussed is extremely low end. It is not in any way a competitor to Lumia, possibly to Asha. It is a result of wanting to squeeze whatever profit is possible out of Nokia's investment into Android, which is now effectively over. It has nothing to so with other OEMs or Google. Nokia spent money developing an android phone. They are going to try and sell a couple while they still can.

    that is all

  • Microsoft's Future Is Cloudy And That Is A Good Thing [View article]
Apple and Samsung sell products that teenagers have to buy to be cool, yet Microsoft sells products that the world needs to function and that businesses needs to be productive. Anybody that doesn't understand this distinction will miss out on the real winner of the next leg of the mobile revolution. The surefire way to make money in a gold rush is selling shovels.

long MSFT, and add to my position on any dip

  • WSJ: Nokia to launch Android phone as Microsoft deal closes [View news story]
This is obviously something they tinkered with for whatever reason, might as well see if you can recoup any costs with it. This thing is going to be very low end, a rival to Asha maybe.

    nothing to see here folks

  • Sony reportedly in talks to sell PC ops, shares jump [View news story]
The problem isn't with Windows, there is more then enough new functionality in Windows 8 as opposed to 7. However, nobody is building anything to take advantage of the new functionality. And why? Because the consumers have gotten, quite frankly, dumber. There is no need for cutting edge computers because people have stopped using them to learn, empower themselves and develop. They have become toys to keep kids out of their parents hair.

  • Google Pulls Samsung Back Into Its Orbit [View article]
Man you guys are so clueless. Nobody is using IOS or android for anything important, and this won't be changing any time soon. Neither one will make any kind of dent in the enterprise, they aren't capable or compatible with any of the software that does anything productive. Android and IOS run toys, nothing more.

  • Apple: Cheap iPhone Now Appears A Certainty [View article]
The "problem" with apple is that all of the people that are interested in owning an iPhone, more or less, already have one. Now I put quotes around problem, since I and Apple for that matter don't see it as a problem. They have always been a niche company, and it is pretty obvious to me that it I more important to them that they keep their customers happy and refreshing, then go after ones that don't fit their niche. And they make a killing with this strategy.
this "problem" is one of wall streets creating.

  • Microsoft: Strong Quarter, But Priced In? [View article]
Microsoft's products make the world go round. By its stick at every market correction. Sell puts on down days. Shorting the stock of a company who's products are literally in every building in the developed world is crazy. Shorting a company who has its fingers in every part of the tech industry and is leading in most, is ludicrous.

    long Microsoft

  • Intel's Bold Tablet Gambit [View article]
If you need windows, then you need windows, there is no real alternative. When do you NEED Android? I would say never. If the developers would get off their @$$3$ and finish fleshing out the windows store, this thing would be irrelevant. I chalk it up to a stop gap until such time as the windows store is complete.
