This stock is driven by a massive hoard of speculative traders - not by fundamentals. Analysts have gotten their price targets all wrong this year, and I doubt that their current opinions will be on the money.

Sure that on a global scale there is strong demand and thin supply for fertilizer, but THE MARKET is looking at the two points I mentioned above, which equals to momentum, not business deals with India and what not.
The price hikes per tonne is nothing new. It is actually old news. The analysts I know of are not "behind the curve". It is the blind retail speculation that is ahead of it.
Look to a weakening US$ for price appreciation opportunities in MOS & POT; not China's expected per tonne transaction.

The investors/traders on this thread seem to have forgotten that the price nature of commodities is extremely volitile.
For Goldman to call a short on gold for 2008 is a bet that comes at a very low risk premium. With the global economy slowing into the next year, it would be quite reasonable to sell the gold rather than to buy it.
