  • E*Trade's Worth Much More Than This [View article]
Well, I was with Etrade through their last collapse. Their online service wasn't affected. If you think people will cut and run, well, I'm sure some may, but most won't.

It could also have something to do with the fact that DirecTV has rolled out several channels in HD which Dish doesn't offer. I've been a DISH customer for over 10 years and I'm frustrated by not having these new channels (Sci-Fi HD, FX HD, USA HD). Some of the best non-mainstream series are shown on these channels and watching them without HD sucks.

Many people have jumped ship for the new channels as they see TV companies as a commodity. I like DISH and will stay, but they better get me my channels.

(I own no DISH or DirecTV related investments).

Well, I got in at $4.09 and out at $5.4924.

    Not a bad trade.

I bought some too. We shall see how it goes. I bought them near their peak back in the bubble days and had to wait years, but it paid off. This time, I'm buying at what has to be near a bottom. If it goes to $2, I will double down. At that point, someone has GOT to buy it.

  • Nvidia Corp: Leading Innovator In Graphics Microchips Field [View article]
Problem is, no one shops for an Intel "Card", they lead only because of OEM stuff. ATI? You obviously don't know how the general gamer population feels about ATI's driver history. As for AMD/ATI - the acquisition has made the graphics stuff low priority and it is suffering. There is only one high performance alternative, really.
