On Yahoo/ Microsoft: Jerry Yang Should Be Fired
It's hard to part with your children but parents raise them to be independent. Mr Yang, could not part with his baby even though he has nothing left to give it. The partnership with Goog will not pass the smell test of the FTC, will effectively cede the ad revenue space to another company, a competitor no less, and leave small shareholders of Yhoo with a bad taste in their mouth. I bought at 22 saw shares drop to 18, had a rescuer in Msft raise my share price and sold at 28. "I got mine", if you're still in Yhoo, sorry for Jerry's brain Fa*t, but you've had plenty of opportunity to sell and make a couple of bucks. Yhoo did a real disservice to the small shareholders buy not looking at the numbers offered and overvaluing themselves.

      Western Digital: Undervalued and Underappreciated
I bought WDC five yrs ago when it was in second place behind STX and have watched it increase in value over time. This seems to be a well run company, with a plan that they can execute. No dividends, no problem here as the price of the stock has gone up three plus fold. I hold this in my roth acct. How sweet when it hits $40+ and the money comes out tax free.

Sorry Folks, the Housing ATM is Closed
I had friends who used their home as an ATM to purchase items and then complained about house payments that had increased. When we refi'd in 2003 we dropped 2% on mortgage and went from a 30yr to 15yr term. Took a home equity loan for 20K for new roof, heat/air that's paid off. I think age has something to do with this as we are 5-8 yrs from retirement although some friends who are not as thrifty have increased loan amounts and seem fine with this. We just did not want debt to get in our way after retirement.
