Fred: if your interested in GooG under 300 why don't you sell some goog feb 290 puts for $4.90. If goog goes up you made 490 per 1 lot. If goog comes down you effectively bought at 285.10 - which should be a good price for someone who says he want to buy under 300. Furthermore if you do not get assigned after expiry you sell the March 290.

Yesterday I was in the ATT store on Park Ave. You can see there grown men in the 45-55 year range lining up to buy a 3g Iphone. All executive types, all haggling with sales guy to get on the list for when the Iphone become available again. These are not a 20 year old in line for a Xbox or a PS/3. These were at least mid level exec from the surrounding banks.
Iphone is a hit also in the business environment. Just give AAPL some room to execute their plans. I am a strong holder in AAPL. Although I have some long term puts to cover the investment for disasters. But then that is my style of trading I hold nothing out right.

Split MSFT in two. Split the Windows Vista Business from the rest.
Make an offer for AAPL with the remainder part of Microsoft.
Should work shouldn't it.
I think that would solve a lot of MSFT problems just afraid that the purchase of AAPL will not be a friendly merger.
