    • Creating 'Power Offers' in Air Travel [view article]
      Victor,

Something that's worked for me well was, if at all possible, to keep a set of clothes, toiletries, etc. , (permanently) at the frequented destinations. At one point, I was 'commuting' to Tokyo from NY almost every other week. Even though this was pre-9-11, I got thoroughly fed up with the whole 'packing/unpacking' process and hit upon the simple idea of creating a 'stash' in Tokyo: so, I talked to the hotel management in Tokyo, convinced them to 'hold' my suitcase(s) for a week (at a time) and from then on was able to enjoy my trips much more with just a shoulder/book bag to lug around.

In fact, once I got a taste of this 'distributed clothes cache' idea, it became so seductive that I have ended up with caches in San Francisco (my sister's place), Chennai (India), Geneva and London. (And, in many cases, it may also make sense to create these caches 'locally': my Chennai & Geneva caches were, for instance, built mostly from purchases in India/Switzerland.)

Anyway, I am not sure how this all ties up with your idea(s) for 'Power Offers' and 'Personal Valets' but, just thought I'd share my two cents.
