      The Market's Disassociation with Reality
      These are trivial numbers with attachments some might find entertaining.
      The REALITY is the ECONOMY OF THE USA is damaged by a FALSE system of POLITICAL INTERACTION with FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS.

      THERE IS NO EXAMPLE IN HISTORY WHERE PROPERTY WAS GIVEN TO THE MASSES WITH PHONY FINANCING.

      I need a new car with a hybrid power plant ,perhaps turbo diesel and silver-zinc batteries or CNG spiked with additives.Oh I forgot we have let our auto industry fail. I need my retirement money replaced because I do not want to live in a YURT because some idiot in CONGRESS living with a Fannie-Freddie management member did sweetheart deals for other Congressman and presidential candidates WITH lobby money.

      So some number crunching "QUANT" may see a potential 15% drop below previous lows for major oil companies or late cyclical S and P 500 industrials but I will be buying COP, CVX , MDR, and AA , PCCAR, TCK as the DOW crosses 7800 with everything I can beg, borrow or steal(now that it is legal)

      I will park half my cash in ALCOA-AA- when its dividend becomes 5% or greater. Aluminum is always in demand and everything will be smaller and lighter in the future. 5% is better than TREASURIES. More later my wife caught me stealing her jewelry.

      IT WAS COLD IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA LAST NITE. I PUT ON FANNEL but wanted to LITE THE FIRE PLACE. I will DRIVE MY USUAL 22 MILES ROUNDTRIP TODAY.
      MY WIFE IS UPGRADING THE KITCHEN now that DESIGNERS AND CRAFTSMAN ARE SUFFERING from POOR MARKETconditions.
      I AM STILL LONG CVX, OXY,XTO,CHK,BUT WAS THAT ALL SOLD TODAY BY THE CEO??,BTU,CNX AND CNI TO HAUL THINGS FROM COAST TO COAST....ITS going to be A COLD WINTER WITH ALOT OF BAD NEWS.
      THE ECONOMY IS NOT SOUND...BUT THIS WINTER WILL BE COLD AND PEOPLE NEED HEAT AND FOOD AND DRUGS.

      Hostile Takeover by.....drum roll......GOOGLE..or ORACLE.. OR GARMIN..microsofter is finished...

      GARMIN NEEDS entertainment once you know where you are going, and ORACLE is going into the laptop business and will go wireless soon or start a phone service when it BUYS part of ON STAR and partners with GM who is a loser and needs hi tech.

      Oracle will have a pull out XMSIRIUS radio and Garmin will have a similiar slip in and carry product.

      What's Wrong with the Trickle-Down Bailout?
      Give half the money(bailout) to California so the federal reserve can buy the soon to be 1 million foreclosed homes. Then we can fix them up and sell them to refugees from Darfur, hurricane victims, tornado victims, flood victims, slum residents in New York.
      There is no need to rebuild after Katrina or the recent Texas hurricane.

      Use the other half to build new nuclear generators, high speed train systems, new hybrid car factories , off shore drilling and solar power stations etc for the new economy and we will have the housing ready for them to buy.

      A Better Bailout
      This is a great article. It is amazing that Financial Times, WSJ and these articles all know what to do that will not cost a trillion dollars.
      But Pelosi,B. Franks, Dodd, Reid, et al have never read nor asked for hearings and then asked for a BLUE RIBBON PANEL to deliberate the way out.....the FATAL CONCEIT being practiced by the DEMOCRATS is harmful for the USA ECONOMY.
      That said....BUY BUY BUY...I am going long on COAL(BTU,ACI), CNG(CHK,XTO), JPM,WFC,GMO,DNN AND MORE LATER.....
      THE economy will surge in needs for power for the winter then slowly in 9 months we will need steel.
      Also nuclear deal with India is a time to go LONG on MDR for the nuclear facilities they need.

      Actually $700,000,000,000.00 would probably BUY alot of mortgages (both sub PRIME and ALT-A) you THINK???? Then the GOVERNMENT CAN re sell homes to any one dead or ALIVE, LEGAL or illegal as long as there is a FILMED AND RECORDED document signing and a Bank Account that can be verifed when documents are finalized and signed.

      TIRED OF THIS, THEN READ ABOUT SENATOR FEINSTEIN OF CALIFORNIA WANTING ADDITIONAL CONTROLS OF LOAN agents and mortgage companies.
      This would require federal licensing to engage in the sale of these contracts. BUT...this is not enough...
      I am monitored by CAMERA AND RECORDED in my office. Enough said...if you signed a LOAN DOCUMENT AND WERE RECORDED and FILMED when signing the documents THE EVIDENCE would be filmed and retrieveable when sent to a branch of the BANK REGULATORS OR nightly sent to a secure document warehouse.

      LETS REGULATE GREED AT THE SOURCE....FILM IT...RECORD IT..EVEN DOCUMENT ORIGINATIONS AND SIGNINGS LIKE THE CDO'S WOULD CREATE A PAPER/FILM TRAIL FOR LATER PROSECUTION IF NEEDED.

      GM Volt: Dream Car or Road to Bankruptcy?
      Interesting; GM exists to make great bonus money and salaries for its upper management. Its various divisions could be spun off.
      On STAR is a telephone company. Opal has moderate success. The rest of GM is a joke with no place in our new world market.
      Maybe a Southern California Design Team and a Colorado solar company and a Anaheim fuel cell design company could do a better product than the VOLT.

      THIS capacitor /diesel/electric motor combo is too smart for DETROTT/GM/FORD. Maybe after 2010 .
      Will go long on OSK-Oshkosh Monday. Had a position in PCAR for the new propane/diesel long haul large trucks. Any thoughts out there???

      Lets see ,FDIC , an federal agency who needs money, will bail out FRE and FNM by borrowing from the US Treasury who will take the money from the taxpayers ????GREAT PLAN!!!
      What do you do with all the managers, lawyers, administrative people and auditors who created all this along with the LENDERS AND UNDERWRITERS ON WALLSTREET WHO MADE THE PROBLEM??

      GIVE THEM A HIGHER BONUS.? HOW ABOUT JAIL TIME, 50% LOSS OF RETIREMENT BENEFITS AND NO GOLF CLUB MEMBERSHIPS AND CAR OWNERSHIP RESTRICTED TO HONDAS.
