  • Some Thoughts On The Recent Surge In National Bank Of Greece [View article]
i was asking the same question today on the NBG yahoo message board, someone pointed out that the stock split was announced already on 4/29 on NBG.gr, their official website.
Apparently, this did not deter anyone from buying the stock since then, so I believe this is just a major shakeup.
and when NBG dropped below $ 2 today (monday), it triggered all the margin calls since the day traders can't leverage them anymore. the overall dynamics were set before today, and everything that has happened was known. thus, all was priced in. and tomorrow, the sun will rise again.

  • China And India: Catalysts For The Impending Bull Market In Gold And Silver [View article]
It took some guts but I went all in on leveraged GLD late today, lets see what happens. I think the bottom is in, at least for the short term, just a gut feeling. With the Dow and all the major indexes showing early signs of weakness, and all currencies in a race downhill, where else can money flow?

  • Why Debt Destruction Is Bad For Silver And Gold But Neutral For Equities [View article]
i don't buy the authors argument that we are in a deflationary asset cycle, the money printers far outdo the haircutters in europe as well as in the u.s.
the only reason we haven't seen massive inflation (yet) is the fact that all central banks are outdoing each other printing money thus leaving the surface of the pond seemingly level.
furthermore i am convinced that behind the scenes, pm prices are being continuously manipulated to ensure banksters continue to profit on their pm short bets. governments gladly help to suppress the truth come to light as they benefit greatly, since this allows central banks to acquire huge amounts of cheap pm's.

  • Chuck Royce's Undervalued Picks - Buying Opportunities [View article]
Chuck, your article is not up to date:
Pan American Silver (PAAS) backed out of its JV and deal to purchase La Preciosa (presumably to avoid further share dilution after its costly acquisition of Minefinders just recently)
La Preciosa is now again fully owned by Orko (OKOFF.PK) which is currently selling at a 52 weeks low. Talking about undervalued picks ...

  • The new iPhone will have a 4.6" "retina" display and is set to be launched in Q2, according to a published report in South Korea which says Apple (AAPL) has begun placing orders to suppliers. MacRumors isn't buying it, but does note chatter of a larger screen for the next iPhone in the area of 4" (iPhone 4S has a 3.5" screen).  [View news story]
Following the usual Apple product cycle the next iPhone should be due in Q4, not Q2. Most certainly it will feature a screen much larger than 4". Perhaps a new iPod is coming sooner?

    @ Stephen Faulkner:

Nice move you described in your article! If you are currently trying to repeat it I bet you were starting to get a bit warm today, maybe just around 3:45pm? ;-)
    Good Luck tomorrow!

  • 2012 Top Stocks With The Most Upside (Prediction Update) [View article]
I don't see the fears of the eurozone contagion to dissipate, on the contrary. With US banks like Citigroup holding the largest percentage of credit default swaps they will soon be asked to pay big $$$ once Greece finally defaults - and this is not a question of IF but WHEN.
