      Land-Based Drillers Extremely Mispriced
Great analysis Alan. I'd like to point out, however, that just as the trend is for deep water drilling in the ocean, land drilling must go much deeper as well. This might separate the haves and the have-nots where the ones with the best equipment & crew can drill deepest and those who have out-dated equipment are out of luck. Also, the turnaround in land drilling might not be as strong as your historical data shows. There might be less rigs put up because less places to drill. Unlike in the past, geological imaging has greatly improved such that drilling companies can identify wells instead of having to put up rigs to drill holes and check for oil.

Still, I'm not familiar with some of the names you suggested, so I'll definitely check them out. Thanks for this article.

      Crane Stocks By Market Cap
A safer way to play the crane story alongside the construction boom is Siemens. As Europe's largest engineering and construction services company, they also have a strong foothold in China, supplying everything from cranes to high-speed trains. And yes, that rhymed a bit.

Microsoft's Strategy To Grab iPod Market Share: Subsidize Zune To the Tune of $150
While this may seem like Microsoft is working to take shares from Apple, this feels more dangerous for Microsoft than Apple. Given that Apple doesn't really make money from the music and video it sells on iTunes but only on the iPod hardware, I don't see Microsoft making a better model to make back what it loses on sales of Zune. Microsoft will more likely lose money on both ends...or so is my initial opinion right now. I might eat my words later, or just change my thoughts.

Why Marvell and Sandisk are Potential Acquisition Targets
I think Marvell benefit a great deal from all the new handheld devices and stuff in the pipeline that are coming out very very soon. If Marvell is going to get a takeover bid, it'll probably be sooner than later...or at least that's how I would play it if I were another company or a private equity firm.
