Jobs' vision included a dramatic change in the way record companies did business, unbundling the CDs into low cost, single song products and an easy to use, electronic purchase and delivery system.
MP3 players existed before the iPod for sure, but it was the iPod that revolutionized the way in which people bought and played music.
