2 big problems: 1. The problem is the carriers don't want to be sued by record labels... & 2. The streaming would crimp network capacity to much. -your not gonna see innovation thru the wireless carriers as they are currently configured. they are but slaves to ARPU.....
The only 2 vendors that have real agreements to get a piece of monthly service revenue are Apple and RIM. that is why they will continually make profits in this sector. Palm Moto LG Samsung are all commodities...

Note: Google has gross margins of 60%, Sprint does not. Why would Google limit itself to one carrier, a distant 3rd place to boot? Running a Carrier in this environment is not Googles strength. If they want to make a play they should take out Motorola and preload Android on every handset sold. Motorola will build more Handsets than Sprint Will ever activate.... Moto Makes more handsets in a lousy quarter than Sprint has total customers.....

-That line can't be Iphone revenue then avg s/p would be sub $105... it's probably revenue from AT&T and any other "partners" that are willing to pay Apple for the right to be on the device..
