    Of course not...the small players are already owned by foreign entities (ex Manitoba tell, which is a regional player)...everyone knows it

    The small players will merge and continue to take market share (as they are doing now - just look at Rogers most recent quarterly report)

    This is hardly a reason to pick up the Canadian telcos

    lol....how did you conclude the announcement was good for BCE and Rogers, the biggest players in the space along with Telus?

    The announcement makes the small players (mobilicity, wind, perhaps Manitoba tell) takeover targets...

    Both companies are obviously off limits, when it comes to a foreign takeover bids

    P/E ratios are the worst metric one can use when evaluating a mining company....non-cash items like depreciation and depletion are often so large that a cash flow positive company can post earnings loss after loss....
