I cannot believe we're still having this "monopoly" conversation. How can this be considered a monopoly when the alternative product is FREE! I guess once there is gov't healthcare, private insurance will become a "monopoly" under this definition. Jul 18 09:00 AM

As a metro Kansas City resident, I am considerably offended at Mr. Ketchoyian's belittling of our metropolis. I'm sure that Ed does not know that Kansas City provides one of the most highly educated workforces in the nation. I'm sure that Ed does not know that Kansas City is home to one of the world's leading healthcare information technology companies, Cerner. Ed, did you also know that DST is headquarterd here as well as leading neurological pharmaceutical company TEVA. Kansas City is also in the running for a major Bombardier facility...must have missed that on your elitist east coast blackberry alerts. I'm sure that Ed does not value a reasonable cost of living and a great place to raise children. Not to mention Big XII colleges Kansas State, University of Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa State, and Missouri...all feeding Kansas City Employers. Ed, We would gladly welcome you to the world renowned University of Kansas Medical Center should your health needs every warrant world class care. Ed, before you belittle another metro, do your research and get your facts! Apr 29 10:07 AM
