Was the worst over for the Titanic when the iceberg was disappearing off the stern? Admitting they took on more water than they claimed while continuing to take on water doesn't get rid of the massive amount of water they took on. And I don't see anyone responding to their SOS calls. But there are probably pirates on the way.

It looks like AMD could have to pay IBM to renew their process-development contract by the end of this year.

10 Reasons Why Apple Should Acquire AMD

Eleven reasons why not:

1. if AMD is acquired, it loses all right to x86 technology licensed from Intel, and Intel keeps all technology it licenses from AMD.

Okay, so I don't need the other 10. That alone means that Apple couldn't make AMD microprocessors after the acquisition. And without the microprocessor designs and manufacturing, there's nothing for Apple to acquire.

P.S. I have a hard time believing anything claimed in Tech101's bio. Unless he let one of his children ghost-write this week's article...
