  • Sony Endorsing BlackBerry? [View article]
Endorsement was implied. In England, we call it tacit endorsement. Otherwise, why BlackBerry? Don't they have other old phones? Why not dust up old Samsung or iPhones? Let be real here. Let's go the the product we can trust was echoed in their heart as they take the decision to bring up BlackBerry in the trying time. Enough said.

Kia, you find it sooo hard to disprove my assertion. I asserted that, was it not Sony's trust for BlackBerry, they ought not have dust up BlackBerry phones, after all, they have other phones that are no BlackBerry. Can you disprove that Mr kia?

  • Sony Endorsing BlackBerry? [View article]
In all ramifications, Sony endorsed BlackBerry implicitly. No arguments about that. Before BlackBerry, they have used other phones which I believe they still keep the way they keep their old BlackBerry phones. The question is why didn't they dust up their old palm os phones or old windows phone instead of BlackBerry? And the answer to my question is not farfetched, even a cynic will believe that their action was spurred by their trust for BlackBerry. Yeah, they have been told to dump BlackBerry by Apple propaganda machine oil by the company's multi billion dollar, but a successful sequestration of the truth won't last for ever. Sooner than later, people will begin to realise how foolish they were, dumping a secure device for mere toys meant for children that do not have to worry about Security .it is unimaginable that a company like Sonny dumped their BlackBerry for some shiny toys, be it iPhone or Samsung phone. Why should they have done that?

For those of you who are peddling the white lie that bb10 doesn't support BIS, kindly stop the lie. Stop prating about something you know next to nothing about. I am typing this on my Z30 and I'm on BIS. Fact is American carriers don't like BIS for anything and that was one of the reasons they were not promoting BlackBerry prior to the launching of BB10. People in Africa were a kind of being forced to make data subscription through BIS as they won't have access to the Internet without it. Unlike people in the advance world, third world people don't bother about being out of Internet connection or not. So you see people with big phones but without internet connection. Here we buy phones as against renting it as practice in Europe and America, as such, you make monthly data subscription, which is very expensive even to average person except to the few rich. The only way many people could access uninterrupted internet service was making monthly BIS subscription which is very cheap and slow on older BlackBerry devices. So, when BB10 was newly introduced and with the speculation that it can work without BIS, many people refused to make the switch because it will be as useless as their iPhone and android devices if they can't have unlimited access to internet with it. It was not until the record was set straight that people started dumping their old BlackBerry devices for the new ones. The truth is that " you can use BIS on your BB10 device and if you don't wanna use BIS, your BB10 device still work well with your normal data subscription, unlike BB7". In Nigeria, for example, normal subscription for a 3gb data plan costs five thousand naira ($25) while BIS subscription of the same data value will only cost you one thousand naira ($5). The only limitation is you can only use the BIS data on your BlackBerry though you can use it on other devices via wifi hot spot . That is, you share the BIS data with other non BlackBerry devices through wifi hot spot ,and it works great. In third world, people prefer BIS because it is cheap to maintain but in the advance world, people don't really need to pay extra cent for BIS because their carriers are already charging for data usage as they pay the rent for their phones, so making extra BIS payment in advance world is not only wasteful but unreasonable except where you need secure communications and whatever. It is for this reason BlackBerry did not promote BIS in Europe and America. They only promoted it where it is needed. I hope my explanation have corrected the wrong notion that BB10 doesn't support BIS? Above all, BlackBerry 10 is the best OS on planet earth today. It is smooth, fluid and highly intuitive. I have used iPhone, Android and windows phones and I have found them all inferior to BlackBerry. They only problem hampering BlackBerry now is the weak ecosystem, though the capability to install Android apk directly on bb10 has reduced that to the barest minimum. Though while in Africa I can't access Netflix till I get back to the UK, I'm not really missing anything as I was able to download and install mobdro apk on my Z30 and as such, I'm able to access CNN, BBC and many other channels where I watch hundreds of movies. BlackBerry should strike a deal with such developers so that they make that app native on BlackBerry World. The only reason I was still using my ipad was for such a viewing service, but I'm glad I'm able to enjoy such service now on my powerful Z30.

  • BlackBerry, Samsung And An Unlikely Alliance That Could Fuel BlackBerry's Turnaround [View article]
@the-c-man, thanks for educating KIA who claimed to be know it all but knows nothing. How is peek and flow an application? Well, I no longer take anything from KIA seriously, because it is either the guy is a sort of some funny dude who just love argument or he is being paid to do some dirty jobs. Even the uninitiated in software engineering won't make the kind of comparisons he is making between the almighty BB10 and ios. Am I talking out of ignorance or bias? No. Have I used ios powered devices? Have I used android powered devices? The answer is YES. But why did I dump android and ios? The answer is because they can't give half of bb10 experience. Who the heck is talking about phart apps here? I have loads and loads of android apps on bb10 device, but do you know what? The last time I used any one of them was some few weeks after I downloaded them. I don't just need any of those apps. I don't play games, I don't do most of those children stuff those million ios apps have to offer. All I do with a smartphone is emails, music, sometimes tweeting and facebooking, BBMing, and whatspping. And my bb10 can do all these for me. Who needs angry birds? Oh! My kids may need it. Now let them have my ipad mini.

Android? I won't touch android with a 400km long stick. No bb10, no smartphone. Has android the hub functions? Has it peek and flow? No no no. So don't mention android, Kia.

  • Harvest Time For A Ripe BlackBerry - June 2015 [View article]
How is it doomed? Must a company die because of its country of origin? Is bb10 not really better than ios of any iteration? Is the BlackBerry passport not better than iPhone 6 and 6 plus? Let's not kill this GREAT company out of sentiment. Many of us will not use a smartphone again if BlackBerry is no more.

  • Why Does BlackBerry Even Bother With Hardware? [View article]
Paid writer. I hope your Apple is not trembling because of the PASSPORT? Or who paid you to write this? No other company under the sun does hardware like BlackBerry. No BlackBerry, no smartphone, it's as simple as that. Apple ate Blackberry's lunch because Apple is an American company. Any iPhone like BlackBerry? Even in the next 100 years to come, there can NEVER be anything like that. A berry is a berry.

  • A Look At BlackBerry's QNX Business [View article]
@mrknowitall, why did your company decide to even use QNX to pipe in their apps to cars? Why didn't they create some stuff in-house for that since QNX is so useless in your judgment? That Apple depends on it to pipe in their apps to a car screen is enough to prove the superiority of QNX to its rivals. If not for its superiority, a MEGA company like Apple wouldn't have chosen it amongst the folks. Let's be reasonable for once and stop the hate

@mrknowitall, I just chose to ignore you. Is there any thing in those links you referred to suggest I have shares in BlackBerry. I thought you have been able to establish prima facia evidence against me. Long BlackBerry in my OWN definition means long supporter of BlackBerry and NOT a long term share holder.

Long live the King of mobile, long live BlackBerry.

@marcap, you have good command of the English language, yet you claimed not to have fully comprehend all I wrote. Internet is the number one most useful medium through which people are being misled. It was from the Internet I read about all the rubbish being peddled by BlackBerry bashers, it was from the Internet I read about all the lies about iphone5, which made me to waste my hard earned money on such a fanciful toy which is incapable of connecting to the network any time I'm in the suburbs(places where I get full bars on 3g with my bb10). It is the Internet that's being used by our politicians to launder their images in order to deceive us. How come internet changed the way people are being misled? More than 90% of smartphones buyers read about them on the Internet before buying them. I read about iphone5 on the Internet before wasting my money on one.

No matter how hard you and your men tried to hide the truth, the truth can't be hidden for ever. Anyone who moved from other platforms to BlackBerry 10 platform will not find it hard to understand what I mean. Please take a look at some posts below your first response to me and judge for yourself if what I'm saying is wrong or right. There are people who lend credence to all my assertions.

Again, if the truth can only be gotten from those who do not have stake in BlackBerry, and who are just users of their devices, then you don't need to go any other place seeking the truth as I DO NOT OWN A SINGLE SHARE IN BLACKBERRY. I moved from bold 9900 to iphone5 and I loved it,but when I got a Z10 which was maligned and insulted by paid America press, I was blown away. It is for this reason I'm commenting here -that people may know the truth. I am neither a Canadian nor American, I do not have any special interest in BlackBerry as a company, all I am telling people is, contrary to what you may read on the Internet concerning the bb10 OS, the OS is far a superior OS to all its competitors. I have used several phones powered by different OSes and I am yet to see anyone which is as smooth as bb10. Get one for yourself and you will be glad you did. All that have listened to my advice can't be thankful enough to me.

Purge your soul of atavistic prejudice and walk yourself into reality of the modern world.

@marcap, let me remind you that success of a product doesn't depend on its versatility or usability, but rather on many factors like propaganda, government policy, country of origin, membership of a CERTAIN cult by the manufacturers etc, determines the success or failure of any product. If versatility or usability is what determines the success of an OS,ios would have been the lowest acceptable OS in the world today. But because Apple has the money to oil their propaganda machine by paying people like you to praise-sing their products, has the financial muscle to force carriers into signing multi year contract, ios, despite it numerous technical limitations is one of the most successful OSes in the world today. Another factor helping ios and working against bb10 is country of origin. If bb10 is an American product, it would have been occupying its rightful position as the best OS in the world. America -for-Americans is a very powerful factor controlling people's behavior when it comes to buying a products, except where there is no American variant of such a product.
At the early stage of bb10 release, the os was well received, but attacks from paid America press and want of some major apps did a huge damage to the brand. No one in his right sense can say bb10 is inferior to either android or ios. The poor market performance is not as a result of the weakness of the bb10 OS,but a result of a grand conspiracy to knock off BlackBerry off the mobile space in order to create a monopoly for ios, knowing fully well that android, due to its security issues won't make it to the enterprise space anytime soon. If a company like T-Mobile could throw caution to the wind and engaged in anti BlackBerry campaign, calling on people to dump their BlackBerry for iPhone, what's it that is not possible? Why didn't they ask people to dump their BlackBerry for android or windows phones? If you are not partisan, you won't find it farfetched knowing the truth. You will have to do a lot of explanations in order to buy a bb10 phone in any of Verizon and AT&T stores in America. You will be treated like a deviant if you walk into any of the stores mentioned above to say you need a BlackBerry 10 smartphone. Why is it like that? Why are all the carriers in America fighting for Apple? The simple reason is that if they can't sell the numbers of devices they signed to sell in their contract with Apple, they would be made to pay reparations to Apple. Or have you forgotten the Verizon /Apple $12bn saga? If one tenth of those factors militating against BlackBerry militates against another OS, the OS will be history by now. Bb10 is still alive because it is just the best out there. Few people who have bought and used it are spreading the good news about the wonderful OS. More and more people are dumping their itoys and android powered phones for bb10 phones. I dumped my over priced and over rated iphone5 for my Z10, and I have never looked back. Many of my friends who toed my path are thankful to me for my advice. "Bb10 is overpriced android wannabe and nothing more", are you serious? Have you really used any bb10 powered device and found it to be android wannabe or you are just prating over something you know absolutely nothing about? Any android powered device, even with deca cores cannot run as smoothly as any bb10 powered device with just a dual core.
Remove the spectacle of sentiments from thine eyes and see things the way they are for once.
    That's my fifty cent though.

@marcap, you read what I wrote via a spectacle of sentiments and bigotry, otherwise, you would have seen the app gap I mentioned therein. It was for the app gap and negative press that orchestrated the huge returns at the stage of its launch. Even, I was among those who warned people not to buy any BlackBerry 10 devices till I got one out of curiosity. I was actually looking for more points to buttress my campaign against BB10. But alas, immediately I bought one, instead of dumping it, it was my iphone5 that was dumped even with its numerous apps. I discovered that BlackBerry was unjustly being maligned and poopoohed by some haters believed to be bribed bashers. All the dark sides as reported by the press are all falacies from the pit of hell. Even the Z10 which is inferior to both Q10 and Z30 is by FAR a better device than iPhone of iteration. That was when it became dawn on me that there is a cahoot somewhere to take down BlackBerry in order to pave way for a certain company who give overrated junks for a premium. Anyone who has actually used any ios or android device before switching to bb10 will not find it hard to comprehend what I mean. Without mincing words, BlackBerry 10 is the king

@zack, we are both correct as both phones are in different leagues -Qwerty and touchscreen leagues. In sum, both phones are monsters, but as banker, my vote is for Qwerty any time, any day.
