  • Gilead Sciences Looks Like A Contrarian Short [View article]
You mean there is a lot of bad news and political agendas that are already priced in the current stock price. The fair value of GILD is $150 and I think it will get there in less than a year from today. Not a really a great short idea.

  • Why I'm Watching Eagle Bancorp Like A Hawk [View article]
Thank you for the informative article and analysis. I came across EGBN few months ago through my value screening and created a modest position as I was looking for a small regional bank to invest in. I wish I had entered a year or two earlier as I watched my stocks appreciate strongly in the last 3 months when most small capital stocks were going down. I think it is a well run organization with very low debt levels.

  • Buying The Dip Selectivity In Energy [View article]
Thanks for the useful tips regarding those Energy names. OAS in particular seems quite attractive on all fundamentals except for their high debt ratio at 1.49 of equity and despite their high profit margin do not currently pay a dividend.

Thank you Eric for the article, I always follow your thoughtful analysis. I will do my research on the above names with one exception for WAG which I think with the recent sharp drop is now fairly priced but not a bargain.

  • Why Thursday's Sell-Off Matters [View article]
I agree with you doctor. Most of us don't have that extra long time horizon to buy and hold and take big corrections and stay invested. Investments are about risk management not just buy and hold and hope for the better. Most young people that have the long time horizon to take bigger risks and stay invested are unfortunately not investing in this market as they have higher priorities than retirement planning.

  • Why Thursday's Sell-Off Matters [View article]
Excellent and timely analysis. I think it is time to move to cash till we have a clear perspective on where this market cycle is heading to. The market is absolutely irrational, a company announces positive quarterly results, the share price goes up 3% and the very next day goes down -3%, makes you wonder what really happened. Another company misses 1 cent on earning per share and gets hammered by sell off -10%. This seems the right time to stay on the fence.

  • Gilead's Massive Undervaluation: A Pictorial Overview [View article]
GILD is a solid investment in the Biotech sector and I expect the share price to double by end of next year, however the price of Sovaldi is not sustainable at the current levels and its my opinion that Gilead will reach some type of pricing agreement with healthcare providers in order to lower their treatment cost as there will be several alternatives in the near future which will definitely impact Solvadi's revenue projections. Still this does not change the story for the share price soaring at least 50% by end of this year and potential new pipeline products that will contribute to their total revenue next year..

  • Is A Stock Market Correction Imminent? [View article]
Thank you for the article and detailed technical analysis and comparison. I have not seen yet in your article what could be described as fundamental analysis of why a correction or even worse should occur in the near future. half of my equity holdings have P/E below 16 and PEG near 1.0 , why should I expect a correction is needed for these holdings when their management is growing their revenue and bottom line? Are such anticipated correction has to happen because it did not do so for the last 2 years? What about trading volumes, do they provide any indication to an imminent market correction?

  • The Day I Sold Everything [View article]
I don't see fundamental reasons right now to sell off all equities and have large cash position as this market has still healthy reasons to stay bullish for long time. If you have a large cash position what are the alternatives to investment? No one has been successful in timing the market.

  • Precision Castparts lower on downgrade [View news story]
I am keeping my shares as well, this has been typical market behavior of selling off for no logical or fundamental reasons. I see this as an opportunity to add more and hopefully Mr. Market will be in a better mood few weeks later.
