New Oriental Education & Technology: Earnings Catalyst Coming Tuesday
OD, nice to see you again. i appreciated your last post about MOS and APOL. i think we are eying up a lot of the same companies.
i will be in EDU and LOGI into earnings, as long as the market is stable. i hope your thesis is right, because i totally agree.

First Solar Vulnerable to a Tellurium Shortage?
just took some time and found a bunch of your posts on yahoo , mark. i think you spend way too much time pumping stocks. it looks like you've already taken a beating shorting FSLR. you can tell by the increasing veracity of your posts. you seem to get angry that the world doesn't agree with your thesis. its kind of funny.
reading your posts on PAL was also enlightening. it looks like you take a position and stick with it, no matter if it is working or not.

that might be good for bohemath investors like buffet, but normal people (with mediocre funds) like me, can be much more nimble in their trading. sticking with losing trades like that for percent after percent seems like madness. i suggest you go read a book by william oneill or two and maybe give the message boards a rest.

maybe not, but they do buy the paper in which these houses are funded and sold.

Petroleo Brasileiro: Global Hydrocarbon Production Leader By 2050?
ive read the wells will be extremely deep. but still, the amount of oil and especially the quality of the crude will make this a very, very lucrative find.
i'm not neccesarily worried about 2050 either, i will be too old to care then. i think PBR could be a game changer way before then.

mark, i just read your article. it says you are short FSLR in the article. well congratulations, if you put the short out when you wrote the article you are now back to even, cool. or, if you had it out before the article, i'm sorry, cause you are still in the red.

i love hydrocarbons. i park my 04 sebring so that i can drive my 1974 lincoln mark IV. it has a 460 cu in. engine and seems about 20ft long when your behind the wheel. you can just see the co2 pouring out the tailpipe, i love it. i hope i personally take about a 1/2 inch off the polar ice cap.

cramer is a self absorbed, self advertising, money squandering schill. why anyone on earth listens to this guy is beyond me.
i don't understand why alpha jumps in bed with him either by putting his picks up everyday.
just ask yourself this, has cramer ever explained what constitutes a true buy signal or sell signal?
he might mention good companies, but if you buy and sell when he says to, you will be in the poorhouse.

i sold both right at the open. i made a nice gain on each. what about that action on MOS though? open near $93, then drop to $80 by noontime only to close at $89, what the heck!?

Kiss of Death: CIBC's Garmin Call
i knew GRMN was going down when i was shopping at christmas time. yes, there were tons of GRMN products being sold, but they were all at 50% or more price reductions. it's not hard to see there is no margin there.
it reminded me of the bins of atari games i used to see on sale when i was a kid.
