  • 10 Reasons Not to Buy Apple [View article]
These reasons are way off-target. For one thing, the article fails to recognize the huge market penetration that is left to AAPL as it has enormous room to grow in all its markets. Secondly, most of the reasons focus on the iPhone and fail to recognize that AAPL's potential growth and larger revenue base in it it's Mac product line which continues to grow dramatically and continues to generate cash and continues to gain market share. Even if phone revenue flattened out (which it won't), the remaining products will fuel growth for a long time to come. For every 'reason not to buy AAPL', there are ten counter-reasons to do so.

  • Feet to the Fire: How Analysts Missed on Apple iPhone Shipments [View article]
"How Analysts Missed on Apple iPhone Shipments" ????? - Well, generally speaking, the analysts are complete morons. Is it any surprise they missed? Really, they rarely work from empirical data, possess poor analytical reasoning skills, operate often on the basis of their bias, and just plain don't do much more than take a guess. It's worse than predicting the weather....to repeat, they are just plain stupid and simply don't know how to analyze anything.

  • Cramer's Stop Trading! Stop the Bonuses (12/23/08) [View article]
He's absolutely right on this one - the entire Wall Street complement of companies should CANCEL BONUSES for their execs and workforce, just like what is happening in the rest of the country by hundreds of other companies. These financial firms have virtually emasculated the global economy - HOW DOES THAT MERIT A BONUS !!!! WHat's would the frickin bonus be for? Good work and effective management????? For God's sake people.............

  • Earnings Preview: Cisco Systems [View article]
Cisco may well remain amazingly strong - we'll have to see. Other than Stifel, who actually tried to assemble some data, the rest of these 'analysts' do nothing more than just take guesses and hope for some accuracy. It's safer these days to completley igonore the wall street boys.

  • Is Fertilizer Starting to Stink? [View article]
It makes little sense to evaluate POT based on the ttm P/E. With the price of potash rising so dramatically over last years levels, and with the increased guidance from the company, the business is better evaluated by estimating the forward P/E. On that basis, this stock is a screaming buy.

  • Cisco Currently Looks Cheap [View article]
Thanks - good article and good data. This stock is definitely undervalued with a overly-compressed forward P/E - I'm looking to CSCO to rise 15%-20% over the next 3-4 quarters.

  • By How Much Will Apple 'Blow Away' Its 10M iPhone Target? [View article]
Geez - you guys are abnormally obsessed with iPhone sales projections. 10M, 11M, 12M....?? Who cares!! The core business engine for AAPL is the MAC. Taking maket share in the PC space, growing MAC shipments, and expanding margins in that sector dwarfs the business potential of the phones. If the analysts paid attention to the core business model, and then factored in pods and phones for what they are (extra gravy!!), then they'd finally get on the right track. At the rate AAPL is growing their core business, any miss on phone projections just isn't going to matter.

  • Apple: Taking Some Chips Off the Table at Current Prices [View article]
Short iPhone inventory? New 3G products? All this speculation over the phones is interesting, but ignores the fractional nature of that business line.

AAPL's big, BIG money and growth is coming from market share gains in the laptop & desktop business. Fundamentally, AAPL is a computer company with an accelerating, expaning business. That alone screams for long term buy. Phones and Pods are just icing on the cake.

  • Hold On To RIMM [View article]
You all are talking like AAPL's a cell phone company. iPhones are such a small fraction of AAPL's business, it's nonsense to compare the business models next to each other for these two fine companies. AAPL is a computer company - their growth and future lies with taking market share in the world of PCs. That component of their business dwarfs the phone and music businesses - by far. AAPL gets most of their 'hype' from iPhone, but they get their revenue from PCs.
