    Very good article. And the big "why" is why are ceo's and bankers worth so much more money than the rest of us? (Highlighted nicely by the skill level vs pay decline of the pilots et al). By right's, those high paid bastards crashed the economy for everyone and were well compensated before, during, and after. I am trying to believe (and foolishly still do) in capitalism with all my might, but it's absolute need for cheap labor to guarantee a happy management group often ends in tragedy for labor.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but if oil goes to $200 it would send gas prices to $5.90 at the pump. If the dollar is allowed to gain 10% today, oil would go to $70 or $2.07 at the pump. Sounds like a thumbs up or down call on a humungus number of Americans.

    Thanks, User 155196. A further question though. Seems like another catch 22. If they are being forced into chapter 11 by the witholding of receipts, they must be under some other stress as well, and known to the CC company, or they would be able to proceed w/o bankrupcy protection and with the money from their customers.

    Why is it now necessary for the Fed to put inspectors in the major investment banks. Wasn't that the job of the SEC? And does that mean that they are not sure if their previous lending was done on a sound basis?
