  • How Gas Prices Are Changing Consumer Behavior [View article]
I'm amazed that 88% have not canceled their vacation or carpooled.

I understand why 92% don't used public transportation... it is probably not available of convenient.

I don't understand why more don't move home closer to work. I guess they feel that high commute costs are just temporary.

  • GM Calls the Top for Oil [View article]
In spite of all the whining about high gas prices I have yet to read about anyone who is selling out and moving closer to work. When Americans start to sell houses and buy condos downtown.... that will signal the end of the oil boom.

Right now everyone hopes this is all just temporary and gas prices will drop "just like last time"........ When people start to relocate and not just buy smaller gas guzzlers is when a meaningful drop in fuel prices will occur.

  • Thursday Outlook: Crude Awakening [View article]
", we all demand a solution but we all demand too much in the way of limiting the alternatives. Politicians can only get elected by lying to please us."

    Amen....... sad, isn't it??

Record oil prices and no plan to solve the problem, normal retirement aged raised to age 67, upside down mortgages to be resolved, Social Security and Medicaid running out of money.

I don't understand why the people haven't made these things issues for November..... is the press ignoring these issues or are the working voting people not complaining enough??

Time to find any Congressman or Senator you can lay hands on and make it an issue.
