Pa on the other hand never went up that much, and affordable housing is everywhere. Not too many nuclear mortgages here in Pa, people are more likely to go to a smaller house in a lower rent district than overstretch. You can get a decent 3 bedroom ranch for 80k or less (2000 sq ft on a half basement has about all utilities for $750 a month). Probably needs updating, but otherwise in good shape. Public Schools are rather good, especially k-12, and we have several colleges and universities here in Pgh. There is life outside of Ca, Fl, Az, and Detroit. People are nice here, but very sceptical about spending money, and are usually frugal. Going homeless here can be a death sentence here, it gets cold. People are more careful. ]]>
