they can do nothing until the time comes. they will have leverage at that point (they already do now) and they will attempt to use it. they agree with the system of paying royalties. they just think it needs to be more equitable. I saw the operation live. It's incredible. It would blow your mind if you saw just how extensive it is.

I do not consider LULU "luxury" in the traditional sense of the word. It seems to me that while LULU might get some luxury shoppers, it does not necessarily cross over all that much with the heritage luxury brands.

If room exists for X number of successful stations in markets across the country, I am not sure why room does not exist for Pandora, Spotify and others.

Also, Pandora has other plans... music will remain the core, but they will doing more and more to engage the audience.

What you have to realize is that they are going after a very specific advertiser. The traditional radio buyer. And, for as bad as that industry as become, it still commands $17B in sales. Arbitron leaves a lot to be desired. And buyers believe Arbitron because it's really the only solution and it's been around forever.

I agree-- it's a bit of an obstacle, but given the momentum just about everywhere else in the business/industry, I think it's a small one to overcome.

I would not be shocked to see it pull back, even pull back hard, but Kennedy did a brilliant job outlining the trajectory yesterday. He came through big time. I will step up buying if it falls and just keep the pace otherwise.
