the iphone is as reliable as any other phone, maybe more so.
I have had the 4gig, then the 8gig, now the 16gig - not a single problem.

One Reason Apple May Be Hoarding $18 Billion
How many more times must we read that Microsoft 'bailed' Apple out? With a lousy $150 mil? Apple had $4.5 billion in cash reserves back then.
The payment was partly in settlement for the court case where M$oft stole Apple's ideas.....

Consumers Will Continue to Buy Apple's Fashionable Gadgets
      @ Flatman - good point!

Apple have the ability, in a severe recession (which is not happening), to drop their prices dramatically and STILL make good profit.

Why drop prices yet? With growth at 60% over the year, there is no need.

If things go bad, they have the margins to go much lower.
Its built-in recession proof from a company that must go to $300 in the next 18 months.

Two Firms Out Positive on Apple
Last night, I agreed to try to fix a friends Windows XP laptop.
There is nothing wrong with the physical machine, (well its ugly and thick and heavy and underpowered) but it only runs Windows.....
Within 10 minutes, I was actually shouting at the machine in sheer frustration.
I downloaded a 'driver' and had to wait for it to 'install' it. Then it wanted to install it again, then it wouldnt connect, then it installed it a third time.

At no point had I any idea what the hell was going on, and I have been in computing for over 25 years, ex-programmer and do understand what goes on.

I gave up. I could not handle the stress of using a Windows machine. It said I was connected to the network, but I could not get on the web.
It started a Firewall without asking me.
(I had to download the wi-fi driver on my MacBook Pro, then write it to a USB disk, then install it on the Windows machine. No built-in wifi. I couldnt believe it.

My kids asked what was going on - (we all have Macs) - they were laughing at all the silly messages and ugly graphics.

Apple shares? I wouldnt worry - as the news grows that the Apple OS is so much better, in every possible way, the shares will be back up again.

Those who use Windows, ordinary consumers, will ALL eventually switch.

Research in Motion: Unlike Apple, No Slowdown in Subscriber Growth
Sorry Todd, but the blackberry is a trend, not a good or even superior phone.

There is NO comparison with the iPhone - watch as Apple ramp it up and drop the price - you think Jobs is just sitting around drinking beer or something?

Watch the next quarter from Apple BLOW AWAY the guidance.

RIMM at 58 p/e is NUTS - cant last, wont last - more subscribers, less revenue? Oh dear.

Apple: Is All This Angst Really Warranted?
'Everyone has an ipod'? Nonsense - the ipod will continue to grow - there are billions of people who have yet to get an MP3 player.
This ipod business is good for another 25 years.
The iPod grew by 17% in the last quarter, but there is a conspiracy against Apple and you will find no logic or sense in any of the articles about Apple lately.
(iPod growth INCLUDES the iPhone - it IS an iPod, or doesnt anyone see that?)

Why iPhone Unlocking is Growing Every Day
I believe there is a criminal conspiracy to force Apple shares lower - the SeC should investigate.

Apple is doing fine, and so is the iPhone - I am sick of all the crap written about it.
Its the best device ever, and it happens to have a phone facility - to compare it to other phones is beyond stupid.

      No-one cares.
Its all about manipulation and power over others.
One day a new leader will come and shut down these abominations and people wll see that we have all we need and that so much of what we desire is simply based on hypnosis by the evil advertising world.

      Have a nice day.

Hey Microsoft, I've Got A Better Idea
Microsoft are doomed to decline, albeit slowly.
They are incapable of doing anything new.

Its important to remember that M$ were successful when computing was new - now that its a mature market, their Windows OS is exposed as a giant hack.

Although they are still making billions every year, they are also losing billions on EVERY product except Office and Windows.

Ballmer is a ridiculous figure as a CEO - they need to find someone much younger, who can think clearly, but they wont do that.

They just cant change. Thats why they are doomed.

Could Modu Be the iPhone Killer?
      Hilarious!
The article talks as if Apple doesnt have tons of experience in
'carrying over' data from one device to another.

Er...Apple are the Masters at this!

Sorry, this sad little venture wont fly - too many pieces, no integrated software/hardware, already YEARS behind the iPhone.

The iPhone has ALREADY 'shaken up' the crappy cell phone industry....

And one lousy gig? Sorry - I just bought my new 16 gig iPhone....

"Please send in the next iPhone 'killer', Miss Moneypenny." (pulls lever to send Modu into bottomless pit)

The iPhone is so good it makes AT&T look much better than they are.

The numbers of customer satisfaction are, of course, representative.
Its silly to say they are not.
The iPhone is an EXCEPTIONAL combination of software and hardware - something only Apple can do because they build BOTH parts.

Negative comments about the iPhone are usually from people who either havent tried it, are just miserable generally, or are paid commenters. (Astroturfing)

Air T vs. Apple? Not Even Close
Apple is a part of the fabric of our lives, the only OS alternative for consumers and business to Windows, controls online music sales and personal music players, has incredible design and innovation facility, is selling its computers at a phenomenal rate, ranks second in smartphones, - the list goes on and on.

The comparison is useless, mainly because the compnaies are so unalike, but also the valuation seems to assume that if Apple had to sell everything or had to give dividends or some nonsense.

Shares are pure speculation - the marhet is giving Apple a beating because it can.
There are no good reasons to undervalue Apple, indeed most analysts call for a $250 valuation this year.
