It seems pretty clear that many contracts are going to be renegotiated as the payors will simply not be able to fulfill their obligations in both the piblic and private sectors.
Good article but there is a lot more driving Natural Gas demand than just using it to produce ethanol. It is still at an historical low to crude on a BTU basis (6:1). I doubt that BP and COp would consider the just announced very costly pipeline if the main driver of demand was only ethanol.
I agree with your points but feel that it is more than just literacy as the we are wired to go for the easy, emotinally comfortable choice. Also more transparency and risk disclosure by the vendors would make it easier for the customer to know better what was being offered.
