For over 15 years I worked as equity analyst and portfolio manager mainly for Asian markets plus Australian market. Also, I spent over 6 years in fixed income as analyst (buy-sell sides), option price maker and assistant fixed income portfolio manager. I got my first start in Treasury Capital Market just when Basel-Capital Adequacy regime was first introduced.
Now I am just commenting as interested observer.
My views of the stocks, sectors and markets tend to be results of mixed mentality of an equity and fixed income analyst with slightly quirky-unconventional approaches (so I have been told).
As I have commented a lot on Apple-Google-Microsoft, I have to disclose that I have been an Apple-Mac user since 1985. This is my current interests for this seems the most fascinating developments in the market. Had I joined Seeking Alpha back in GFC in 2008, I'd have written about the GFC and reforms since then. I will from now comment more about the financial industry in 2014. This will be more on macro and not on bank-specific matters for the whole financial-banking regulations globally. Over time, I will also make more contributions on the Chinese and Asian markets in general.
If any of my comments are inaccurate in facts, please accept my apologies. If my remarks seem offensive, there is no such intention on my part.
I speak English and Chinese.
I have been living in Sydney, Australia for over 30 years.
Just an average investor... primarily in American equity and bonds.
