The AIG Bonuses: A Welcome Scandal

While bonuses at AIG are certainly outrageous, focusing solely on them would be a huge oversight. I think we should explore in more depth how the bailout money given to AIG was dispersed. I think it will become clear that AIG is just a big funnel, and many more banks and financial firms are the beneficiaries of our tax dollars. Maybe we should look into those as well, including their bonus structures. Wonder what we'd find there. The AIG bonus noise is just a smoke screen. As deep throat said, "Follow the money". And one other thing. Next time you hear Barack Obama regard the current economic situation as the "situation we inherited form the previous administration", replace the "previous administration" part with the "previous administration, including the current, democratically controlled Congress". That'll put it all in perspective.

Dear Fed: What Do You Have to Hide?

Just trust them. Much like Barney Frank did the financial institutions. Surely they'll do the right thing.
