krugman is wrong for the same simple reason that neither he nor our 'elected thieves' would/could comprehend the OscarBullFrog Money Model (copyright 2009) nor can/could they work it right if it were in front of them. But censoring correctness is part of the plan so why should i worry.

with extreme difficulty i could see a 2 year (gag! barf!) hold on subscription prices as the fcc tries to drive a demand economy into a command economy. i can approve the need to have a single radio that receives both channels though. that only makes sense since the cos would also be single then. as far as 'reserved bandwidth' for air america or other unprofitable or undesirable broadcasts 10% is the max vigorish that would be tolerable, as untolerable as vigorish is. making sausage and laws seems *so* sanitary compared to the fcc's torture - oh, wait, america doesn't torture; nevermind.

iff you know teh back-story behind GEs last quarter (caught in the undertow with "BarleyStern-nuts"), you would recognize that tech analysis is not the be-all-end-all. right now, adn for the next couple weeks, GE is a *screaming buy* - especially below $30!! [[WTF?!?!]]
i went long at ~$32 and bought too much - (my bad cramer; i apologize) and i will be buying LOTS more RSN if i can extract some profits from other issues. what i hadn;t considered (that creamer does) is that the lower shelf of GE stock would fall again.
hmmmm, what about a *new* sec rule (gag) that says something along the lines of: short selling available IFF co has $2b market cap or greater AND stock price must be greater than $20.00. if either limit is reached short selling MUST be halted. [[lock limit down variant?]]

re: locke .... this is a good time to continue to LOOK at buying SOME stocks .... i am not convinced that the specific time to buy is RightNow (tm). imnsho, the diligent investor will identify certain issues which ought to be profitable and decide on a specific price at which to buy ... in increments ... and watch the price/dividend action from a respectable, emotionally disassociated, distance.
my own anticipation suggests that late 2q08 or mid 3q08 would be a better timing, as if timing could be predicted.
