  • Wall Street Breakfast: Must-Know News [View article]
As long as lawyers populate the halls of Congress it doesn't matter who controls Congress. Tort reform will never happen because the lawyers benefit from this current madness. Lawyers are like "locusts". Devouring everyhting in their path. Examples abound: the healthcare system, workmans compensation, small employers (product liability suits), etc. Lawyers have destroyed this country.

  • The Real Reasons Fertilizer Stocks Are In the Dirt [View article]
BX Capricorn hit the bullseye. As long as Wall St runs its Vegas-casino and there is no hedge fund transparency, companies will for sure take a hard look at "dellisting". This is the most corrupt, inept SEC in our history.
Why would anyone want to become a publicly traded company in this chaos? IPOs hitting a 40 year low answers the question. They don't want to play this con game.

  • Don't Bet Against Chinese Demand Growth Just Yet [View article]
    Lane:
Excellent article. As you pointed out so well it is absurd to believe that Central Bankers have the ability to slow or stop a multi-year growth pattern in emerging markets. And the arrogance of US financial experts on the issue of "decoupling" is incredible. They completely ignore the fact that in 2008 for the first time ever, China will export more goods to Europe,Asia, and the Middle East than the USA. In the grand scheme of things the subprime mess has little if any impact on global growth patterns. China slowing from 10% to 9% is not going to out any appreciable dent in commodity demand. This commodity bull has several more years to run. In the meantime avoid Financials stocks like the plague. They are toxic right now.
