Current Popular Argument Against AIG Bonuses Takes the Wrong Viewpoint

Just like a baseball team if they get into the World Series they split the pot even the ballboys. If they do not make it there is no pot tosplit. AIG or any team should only get a bonus for winning. It is unAmerican to reward failure with taxpayers money.

Pay Bankers Much Less

Executives who work for public companies should only get a average executive salary.The big money would only come if they make money for the real owners and risk takers (stockholders). For executives to make money the stock must go up PERIOD. Failure will not be rewarded. This is the way it works for every other employee in industry .
The board of directors system is a complete failure and needs to be completly rebuilt.Seems almost every board acts as a rubber stamp and is not performing.
