FOMC Minutes: Economy is Precarious

The comparison between our current economic indicators and the depression is reassuring.

I also applaud Beranke and the FOMC for doing what they can. To my knowledge, they were to first to begin action over a year ago, including a failed attempt to prod congressional action to rescue troubled mortgages.

But, it does look as if we're in for a prolonged period of weak growth, as mentioned. Some call that a recession. I am not so sure I disagree, officially or otherwise.
