  • Toward an Economic Model for Gas-to-Liquid Fuels? [View article]
this is excellent news, although, the coal to liquid fuel process should also be pursued, much of the global warming science if failing to predict the last 10 years of stable if not cooling global temperature, hence the hysteria against production of CO2, will soon subside, not to mention the global economy is in no shape to afford, massive carbon taxation, and the concurrent un-employment.
Overall, good news, but then what else would you expect from one of the worlds best company's.

  • Why Is Congress Agnostic About Natural Gas? [View article]
Fritz, JC from CA, regards your thinking of how to promote NG,
Did you see Special edition in Wall Street Journal this week, must have been Tuesday, 8 Sept 09,
    All promoting Nuclear energy in USA, It was a "small", maybe 5 pages, special edition, covered the whole message of promotion;
concept is perfect for NG, transform article to NG, your agruments for NG are far more compelling than the nuclear arguments,
when I return from traveling, currently in NY, I am going to contact the author of the nuclear article and challenge to write one on NG.
Best to you Fritz, keep up your excellent work and attitude.

  • 4 Dividend Stocks to Hedge Against Social Security Failure [View article]
Where are we now that economy has gone into the tank, as far as Social security is concerned? Author is making a good point that cash flow will soon go negative with declining incomes caused by this prolonged recession. Obama will not bring this up in a NY minute, cause he wants to lock in his programs requiring massive new US debts, before he breaks the news that SS has gone negative cash flow.
What does SS negative cash flow really mean, simply that we must borrow or print the deficit.
As to the integrity of US borrowing, eg Cross, true, we have paid all debts, however after Obama increases our debt over the coming decade, our US$'s will be worth far less to the lender's. So, as to the integrity of Obama's USA?? pretty thin integrity, in my opinion!!

  • California Comes to a Cowardly Compromise [View article]
    Democrats not to allow California's mediocre educational system to be completely gutted";
An amazing statement, given that CA teachers are highest paid in country, working about 9 months, or 3 months less than the rest of us,
CA education system spends over $300,000/year running each classroom, the teacher gets less than $100,000 including benefits, and the state bureacracy wastes much of the rest, funding personnel who barely support our childrens education.
The state school budget could be cut by a 1/3 and still have funds to raise the salary's of teachers, and their aids. Further, still leaving over $100,000/year to fund NON classroom expenses.

  • Six Signs Economy Is Turning the Corner [View article]
American industry may have leaned out to the point where it can make a profit and the banks are being massively subsidized with ZERO % rates, if you can that the ECONOMY then things are getting rosy.

BUT, new American job creation is years off, perhaps a lost decade of job creation is being legislated in Congress, with a newly socialized energy and health industry, I anticipate years of high joblessness, perhaps a lost decade,
Are we waiting for 2020 to get new American jobs?
Well I would take the 3 million that Obama promised in his campaign??
    where are they, ghost jobs??

  • Natural Gas May Be Just the Solution for This Economy [View article]
    "But regardless of what happens with gas - or any of the other resource options - Michael Fitzsimmons is correct when he says that the American people should demand a sensible energy policy from its government. What's the point of buying the one that's for sale now?", as said by Ferd E;
So, what is our masterful gov doing,
    -no nuclear build up,
    -no NG build up,
-massive CO2 taxation machine, costing jobs and $$ to American family's
-some are even pushing for much higher taxation of gasoline,
American energy policy and the economy are tightly connected, the current administration, has no clue what makes the economy click.
We need to convert much of our transportation vehicles to run on American NG and possibly imported LNG,
We need to begin using our significant national energy labs to develop modern nuclear energy machines, these labs are way under utilized in energy production.
Hey Fitz, keep up the good work.

  • Is Hydrogen the Best of the Green Fuels? [View article]
No, Natural Gas, NG, is the best fuel for America and its people. H2 does burn into water vapor, but it is very costly to manufacture, it is NOT found ready to use, it is manufactured from NG, by burning more NG.

NG storage is 100's times more efficiently stored, than H2, which must be supercooled to reach liquid phase.

The American transportation industry could be transformed to use much more NG than current use, what if HALF of our family cars ran on NG, we could practically eliminate importation of foreign oil.
We would be hiring our own energy workers to provide us with our transportation fuels, instead of sending our US$$ to ME, no thank you.
NG is by far a much better fuel than H2 for America, its economy and the American people.

Drill, Drill, Drill, and NOW, for American jobs and prosperity.

  • State Budget Woes: Are We There Yet? [View article]
its beyond me and telling how states reduce expenses,
do they cut salary's, and maintain services, like a business would?? no
do they cut hours but not salary's, yes, this completely ignores the fact that States are supposed to provide services, roads, waterways, mountains, etc, but no services is not the priority, simply cut hours, saving money yes, but also reducing services and efficiency.

States need massive cuts in salarys and benefits, they are currently way overcompensating compared to private sector, where even 401K's are hard to find.
but in the public sector, 401K's are not good enough, they (public gov worker unions) demand, defined benefit retirements plus health care, essentially no where to be found in private sector.
The local school district, SoCal, just hired a director for $250,000 plus life time benefits, thats outrageous and must come to an end.

  • California vs. Texas: Which Model Is Best? [View article]
CA state gov is failed, like AIG, but should be broken into manageable pieces; recent articles have identified 4 smaller states with more manageable politics. Liberal states would be the SF bay area in No CA, and Los Angeles in SoCa, Conservative states would be San Diego/Orange County and Central Valley. At least these regions would be able to govern. Current state is dominated by socialist Dems, with over 60% of state government, but still cant spend, borrow or tax enough.

  • The Stimulus Plan: Success or Failure? [View article]
"one of the primary criticisms"; no, the primary criticism is that FED $$ borrowed from Asia is going to prop up failed State governments, like CA, where gov workers have been widely overpaid and overcompensated in retirement for decades.
Now, the State gov's are getting bailed out, with much of the stimulus going to pay gov workers, and not creating new jobs.

But what else would you expect from a socialist run Fed government, Pelosi/Reid/Obama all pushing socialist programs,
Hence the stimulus will surely not creat lasting jobs in the private sector.

  • Commodities, Cap and Trade and Natural Gas [View article]
"reduce coal and require more natural gas and solar power. Thanks to environmentalists, America may finally be able to reduce its dependence on foreign oil."
this is the most irrational statement that I have ever read.

Substitution of NG for American Coal equals reduction foreign use for cars and trucks??

We have the environmentalists to thank for this NON-existent reduction in imports of foreign oil.

Sure, NG power plants are inherently cleaner burning, but what does that have to do with importing foreign oil.

I dont think that you proof read your article before posting, or_____?

  • Not All Green Jobs Were Created Equal [View article]
it takes 20-30 real jobs in the private economy to produce enough tax dollars to get taxpayer funded green job!!

Green jobs are paid for by hard working American's in the real economy, where money is made through productive work.

  • Cap-and-Trade and the Cheap Energy Illusion [View article]
I'm pretty sick of this Cap/Trade nonsense.
Ditch it, and Congressman Waxman while your at it.

What we really need is a good old drilling opportunity. Lets start in CA where we really need the salary's/work, the long term sources of oil/gas, and royalty's for our citizens.

Yes, now thats more like it. Low cost American sources of energy, right in our own back yard, where American jobs will be had.
Yes, Ditch Cap/Trade, global warming is phony science, cooling for last decade, all the while CO2 levels on the rise, completely nullifying the global warming theory's and models.
