  • Natural Gas May Be Just the Solution for This Economy [View article]
    "But regardless of what happens with gas - or any of the other resource options - Michael Fitzsimmons is correct when he says that the American people should demand a sensible energy policy from its government. What's the point of buying the one that's for sale now?", as said by Ferd E;
So, what is our masterful gov doing,
    -no nuclear build up,
    -no NG build up,
-massive CO2 taxation machine, costing jobs and $$ to American family's
-some are even pushing for much higher taxation of gasoline,
American energy policy and the economy are tightly connected, the current administration, has no clue what makes the economy click.
We need to convert much of our transportation vehicles to run on American NG and possibly imported LNG,
We need to begin using our significant national energy labs to develop modern nuclear energy machines, these labs are way under utilized in energy production.
Hey Fitz, keep up the good work.

  • Making Natural Gas Transportation a Reality [View article]
ripskii, "advanced fast nuclear reactor", you would appear to have volunteered to provide such an article, you might also consider the American Solutions.com, N Gingrich's site as another forum of knowledgeable contacts.
I agreed completely, our Dept of Energy has really dropped the ball here, when over the past few decades, we could have been performing R&D on advanced nuclear power, we have not.
We will need decades of effort in nuclear and materials, but in the end, we can have effective nuclear power for America and we need it badly.
Looking forward to your article. thanks for posting.

  • Making Natural Gas Transportation a Reality [View article]
Michael F, I have quite enjoyed reading for information your articles over the past months, as well, appreciating your zeal for American prosperity. I concure that the present administration will not support your NGV concept. However, living in CA for over 50 years, I have an alternative.
It is the initiative process in CA. In CA, we are addicted to it as gov at many levels is horribly unresponsive to plane old American people. They are responsive to large blocks of voters and those who will support their campaigns with funds.
So, I say to go after a series of well thought out initiatives, say 5 or 10 and raise the funds to get them on the CA election ballot during the coming decade. If you begin now, you might get an initiative on the 2010 ballot, so you are looking at the decade, 2010 to 2020.
Thats a high bar, but CA leads the country, we used Prop 13 to starve gov for a decade or more, it worked for a while. Still does in some sense.
I know some influental people in politics who might have interest in your proposition, I will send them your article links and see what they say.
Best of all to you. stay with it.

  • Is There Enough Natural Gas? [View article]
Fritz, one last thought, have you contacted the NG pipeline co's, how do they fit into this construction? They might have thoughts about how to get NG around in the USA, and as well how to safely compress it for use in transportation vehicles. thanks again.

Mike Fritz, keep up the excellent work, I sense that you need a high power forum, than this investor focuses one.
Your biggest challenges are political, as the investor community will never set a foot into this plan with the current administration, which is soo overly negative on fossil fuels. These fuels are the life blood of America and will stay so for decades, but the overly negative talk, think last week when Al Gore had the Congressional "leadership" on their knees, what investor would risk capital to move to such a brilliant plan, as yours is.
Yes, Fritz, you are constructing a plan for America, which in the right political environment would invigorate the American economy for decades, but sadly sits on the wrong side of the current political fence.
If you want a political supporter, try Newt Gingrich and his American Solutions site for a starter. It is a conservative site so you will be thoroughly challenged. But Newt is very opened minded and a brilliant debator.
Best of luck Fritz, how can we all help?

  • H.R. 1835: Legislation for Natural Gas Transportation [View article]
This is great news Fritz, keep at it.

One question, where is the legislation to increase availability of NG in North America?
Do you think for a moment that the twin sisters from CA will vote for increased NG production in CA?
How much will Henry the socialist Waxman get behind increasing NG production in CA or anywhere in the USA?

Fritz, this is a part of a great story, the remaining part, and a necessity to our success, is increased production in the USA and Canada, the other part is nailing shut the Cap and Trade energy disaster.
Thankfully, with the recent global cooling trends, we may be able to head off the economic disaster called C & T.
Thanks Fritz, my emails to Congressman Campbell were just sent.

  • Why Is Oil Trading at $53 When Supply and Demand Is So Bearish? [View article]
Hey Fritz, what are your ideas about state initiatives?
In CA, we are initiative crazed, current one written by liberal Dems in state legislature with their allie Arney, raises state income tax to over 10%, sales taxes, even new taxes on tickets for the Sunday afternoon ball games, shameful.
But, initiatives only need signitures and then financial backing to be competitive. I think your material for NG fueled transportation systems is the place to start. As well, some form of drilling initiative for NG in CA with rebates to the people of CA, might have a chance. You might start with an initiative like ATT's, only sub state of CA, where you might mandate that 50% of all state vehicles be NG fueled over coming years.
I'm trying to dream about something good, given the essential collapse of our state and fed gov's.
stay with the NG theme, thanks.

  • Plug-In Natural Gas Hybrid Vehicles: A Game Changer [View article]
    I see the reply's braking into;
-nearterm and practical, direct use of NG in IC engines, featuring economy, available in nearterm, abundant supply of fuel in our country (USA),
-longterm, more ideal, significant innovation, considerable opportunity for success and for failure, lower air pollution, if we get more NG and nuclear power plants.

To my point of view, in the current economic collapse, we should be putting emphasis on economy, security (using American fuels), and something that has little risk of getting to market quickly.
My money is on NG fueled IC engines, an effective distribution system (eg So Cal Gas?, and others across the country).

  • Plug-In Natural Gas Hybrid Vehicles: A Game Changer [View article]
    to isaac the T, I also commented to fitz's post, that NG was a must, consider these aspects;
-how soon can Detroit begin to sell NG powered cars?
-what will a NG powered vehicle cost to buy?
-can we keep NG prices at reasonable levels, if the USA promotes gas exploration and drilling, hence abundance in our own country, and NG fuel purchases will not flow US $ into the Middle East.
Conversly, the hybrid concept has eventual positives, but
-how soon will Detroit begin selling NG/EE hybrids?
    -What will they cost?
-What will be the cost of maintainence?
Answers to these 3 would seem to put a cooler note on the hybrid concept, at least for a decade, hence, I wrote for the simple, cheap and abundantly fueled with USA drilled NG powered car, this solution is right in our hands, we should take it.
    thanks for your cleaver thoughts.
