I'll stick with MO, as I have for over 38 years. It's a winner no matter what.

  • Dumb Investment Of The Week: Socially Responsible Investing [View article]
Buying MO, PM, VGR and LO were the best investments I ever made. Owned them from 'day one' so to speak...doubling and tripling and oh such magnificent dividends. Socially responsible, of course, increased appropriate and timely donations to those less fortunate year after year.
You have to 'earn it' before you can give it away. My personal advice...Buy SIN STOCKS sooner than later...getting defensive is wise.

  • Whisper Number Impact: Earnings Preview For Altria [View article]
There's only one real world answer as to 'why' the U.S. Supreme Court is very much adverse to hearing anything that has to do with the tobacco industry. They know full well that what the former Clinton administration did visa vie the 46 states and the Master Settlement Agreement forced upon the tobacco's Big 5 was purely, unequivocably 'illegal'...only made to appear legal visa vie our forever 'worthless' Congress, the Senate, the media and a few of the lobbyist groups.

Where are the cries to REPEAL the Master Settlement Agreement. And to stop using the tobacco industry and soon to be beverage industry as if they were the Robin Hoods for America's audacious, greedy elites?????!!!!!!!!!!!...

  • Philip Morris: Step To The Sidelines [View article]
Too many frightened little rabbits out there doing it the 'opm' way. But, what the hey! Over the long haul...personnally, some 35+ years with MO, especiaaly...averaging real world highs, buying at the low bite when rabbits play, rather than stay. PM, LO = overrated.

  • Tobacco stocks trade weak as a group with speculation on anti-tobacco measures sweeping across Europe. The word from across the pond is that the EU will step up health warnings. Decliners: Reynolds American (RAI -2.2%), Altria (MO -1.6%), Lorillard (LO -2.6%). [View news story]
Buy, buy, buy! MO will pay their dividend of # 0.44 per share, but you must own it NLT 26DEC2012.

  • Altria Will Slash Its 6% Dividend And Here's The Reason Why [View article]
Ahhh! But you have overlooked something very, very important. And, for a very good reason. But, of course I'll permit you and others to continue on your anti-tobacco campaign simply because those a bit more informed, intuitive - via proprietary info; that by year end 2013 --- The Altria Group will accomplish their most 'secret' objective. Moreover, you will have to forgive me for not providing 'classified' details. Yet, all in good time.
As to current investors, I suggest you begin before Thanksgiving to gather your dollars and begin gradually to buy more and more and more MO shares. Your dividends are completely safe for many years to come. 2018 is the year, purposely set up by The Altria Group for persons similar to you sir, the author or writer, if you will, of this insightful information. And yet, we thank you for giving us the opportunity to respond. Good day.

  • Altria: The Biggest Threat This Company Faces Is Rising Cost Of Capital [View article]
Buy MO and make your money now. Right now, MO has several 'buy' ratings. Moreover, watch for a 'break-out' of smokeless tobacco...which was originally U.S. Tobacco, Inc. And there is Altria's greatest value to shareholders. Of course, bringing into the Altria Group more an more wine entities would also be a good thing. Make money with MO now and for the foreseeable future.
